Delivery Thread for 27" iMac December Orders

Ordered around 6th or 7th, its now preparing for shipment, so it looks like Apple -as forecasted- will keep its promised delivery window.

I hate this lack of movement. ETA 4 - 10, no chance for 4, at this rate no chance for 10. Still processing. Based on the number of business days, it has to be shipped by tomorrow (working off the basis of working days), otherwise the latest it can go is this Saturday.

I hope for preparing today and shipping tomorrow... finger crossed :eek:
 
It's encouraging to hear people are preparing/shipping today. Maybe things will start getting moving again.

Status: Processing Items, Preparing!
Available to ship: 3-4 weeks Delivers 07 January - 14 January (no change)
Cancel order button: Gone, but only after status preparing
Expedited Shipping: No, called, but wasn't possible....

Hope more people see some change, and hope i don't return to processing :eek:
 
Hmm. That's multiple Dec 6 confirmed orders moving to preparing today. Extrapolating, my Dec 20 order would move to preparing on Jan 17. I may have it before February. :)
 
Ordered Dec 25th i7 3tb Fusion 8gb Ram 2 GB Video Card. Looks like probably late January for me.
 
well I called apple, the reps don't have anymore information then we already know. But I did get a courtesy shipping upgrade to expedited when I asked about it! But she made it a point to tell me the shipping upgrade does not mean the iMac will leave the warehouse any faster (I giggled at this and had some fun with it)

Enjoy the wait my friends.....I can't even focus on work!!!!!! I'm upgrading from my 24" white acrylic looking imac that's about 6 years old with 2gb of ram and can't keep up with any adobe programs......good times......

I feel the same way.. I can barely do any work without checking the status of my order or these forums every other second.. and I wish I could avoid looking at anything in CS6 until this beauty finally arrives!

Just an FYI for anyone living in Oklahoma interested in a new 27 inch iMac. The OU it store in Norman, OK has them in stock, including BTO models with fusion. The store is open to the public and last year's models are also on sale. I buy most of my computers and accessories from them. I don't work for them or anything, but if you are in the market for one and live in the area, you can save yourself the wait.
 
ok so heres an update for all you as promised, as some of you know i ordered on the 5th, just had a pending charge for the full amount appear on my cc over the last couple days, so i was hoping today it would be preparing to ship...woke up this morning and no cc charge even on my card anymore and still "processing" lol...unbelievable....i think they do this basically to check your card out ahead of time before they ship, so my question to all you a****les out there lol that have gotten your imacs already...what kind of action did you notice on your credit card transactions in the days leading up to your order shipping
 
Mine changed to Preparing for shipment (ordered it dec. 3th). Usually, from this status, how long does it take to ship? 24-48 hrs ?

when did you order again? and have you been keeping an eye on your card transactions? Mine was only there for a few days before it went away.

what were the transactions on your credit card leading up to your changing from processing to preparing? Did they put a hold on your card for a few days and then just take it off like they did to mine?

I paid with the Apple Financial Services (TD Bank Canada). I called yesterday and the rep told me that they'll pre-authorize the payment by the end of the day (yesterday, Jan. 2nd)...

cancel buttons still there as well, im so tempted to push that thing out of principle alone, you have no idea...Did i also mention that last week my order went to preparing for shippin for 2 days, had me all excited, only to change back to processing...called apple and asked wtf, they told me that it was a computer glitch and was just a false alarm....lol ridiculous

Ordered 12/13. By my estimation I would expect to move to Preparing to ship the week of Jan 14th.

I have been checking my CC pretty regularly. Not 20 times a day like I do the Apple site though. ;)

Ordered Dec 13th... still processing

I ordered December 13th and no change.

27" iMac
3.4GHz i7
3TB Fusion HDD
32GB RAM
NVIDIA 680MX 2GB

Spoke with Apple rep on the phone who said January shipping status should be updating this week.
