Delivery Thread for 27" iMac December Orders

From the chart, it seems like they are now on 12/8 orders. It seems to be stalling on each days orders for a few days or so and then moves on. This really needs to pick up soon or we are still in for a long wait.
 
Finally preparing for shipment!

No cancel button this AM, and Preparing for Shipment!! YAH :D !!!

When I called to switch the keyboard, they said "Don't, we'll just send you a wireless one, free". And they did!

Original ship date given was the "January".
I'm of course excited, as well as relieved that my Barclay card has been charged within the required 30 day promotional period. I would hope it'll be here mid-week next week??!!
Hang in there all, as others have said, I think they're going to start moving out pretty quickly now.

Looks like we are on the same boat, I've ordered same day as you and the config is pretty much the same, status still processing January.

I've spoke with a Apple bloke, he said that I have already a production number, but he couldn't add anything else, bollocks....

As a positive we can see movement starting again, of course providing people promptly proceed to update the spreadsheet.

Its now painful..... too much of a wait..

Placed my order nov. 30 using the apple finance (which probably took a few days to sort out, but the order showed up like normal at store.apple.com.

Called Apple Dec 12 to change the wireless keyboard for a wired one and the mouse for a magic trackpad. (Bad idea even if the rep told me that I shouldn't matter.)

Today it still says "January". Is it worth calling Apple? I just want a date so that I know that there's nothing wrong with the order.

Status changed to shipped just now.
First indication was delivery Jan 9, now it's Jan 15th.
Hope they get it wrong and it will be sooner, but anyhow glad with the status change!

The iMac I actually have 24'', when I bought it, I've asked a wired keyboard, but they send to me a wireless one, I've called them next day and they send to me free of charge a wired Kyeboard and they told me to keep the wireless one. An year later I bought two iMac's 27'' and the exact same thing happened, for the future including this one I will do the same, cancelling or changing order never, unless a make a big mistake.

Yeah, I think youre right :( Can't see why it would matter since no one really started working on that order anyway. But I really regret doing it. But still, If they placed a new order Dec 12 I should have a date by now, right? Not just "January"? The order still shows up under "Nov. 30:th" at the order page.

I've Try to understand why the dashboard didn't update, it suppose to show 6 shipments but it's showing only 5, the reason is you put your date wrong you type 1 April. :)

Netherlands are going up on Live History Chart :)

Original ship date given was the vague "January". So happy it turns out to be early January. :)

No email or text from Apple. I got an email from my cc company about a large transaction and then saw the Apple site had been updated.

Less than 12 hours from "preparing for shipment" to "SHIPPED"! They must be stepping up production after the holiday. Mine should be here in PA on 1/10 via FedEx. :)
 
I feel like I'm being tortured slowly, like with thousands of paper cuts....I feel like I can't even function!! OCD kicking in...........
 
Shipped!

Last night my order went to Preparing for Shipment. In the last 45 minutes, I got the email that it has shipped, via FedEx with a delivery date of January 10th.

Looks like I'm taking a day off... :D

No mate, as you type the date shows 04/01/2013 the format asks DD/MM/YYYY.

the formula is matching on that column an exact match with today's date, because it isn't there the dashboard don't pick it up.

Yeah, painfully, this is one of the slowest back-orders I've ever seen Apple do and lately it seems that every Apple launch is woefully under supplied.
 
Hey guys, haven't posted for years, but lurk all the time. I have a 27" BTO ordered on the 8th so have been watching this thread for hope everyday!!

Yup - I was worried about that, too, as I went for the interest free option. I called Apple and have been assured that if it doesn't get charged within the 30 day period, and if you do see interest on your account, that Apple and Barclaycard have an escalation policy that will take care of it. If it happens and you see interest charged, call Apple and they will sort it out.
