I am one of the disheartened ones. Ordered 12/22 and keep seeing folks posting with preparing to ship and ship notices who ordered after I did. I really would like to get this since my old PC is promised to a relative and I am going to see them (they live in another state) the end of the month. I would like to have a reasonable time to move stuff to the new machine and clean off and prep the two year old PC. The sort of random order to the way things are shipping is enough to drive you nuts.

tell me about it! although i did place my order after you i can empathize with how it's a little frustrating to see orders placed a week or more after you ship off. i'm giving apple 48 hours to prepare my order or i'm canceling, i'm without a computer right now so i literally need a computer.

Ordered 12/24, woke up with a hangover as well as a "preparing for shipment." Doubt they're shipping on Sundays but could be wrong.

Hi, did you receive email from Apple/UPS stating delivery Monday? Mine seems to have released from Heathrow yesterday and delivered today to, I assume, a central hub where they are allocated UPS delivery information. Hope to receive Monday too!

When checking my tracker information that at the time showed Jan 15th, I've notice they added a tracker number from UPS, since then I stop breathing :D
I'm pretty sure the stuff will arrive Monday TOMORROWWWWWWW.

I guess it's good to know I'm not the only order on 12/22 that is not moving! I empathize with everyone on here who is frustrated seeing later orders ship w/ the exact same config that they ordered. :(

FWIW I ordered on 12/22/12 @ 5:56 pm EST with Barclaycard
With the following configuration:
3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5
Magic Trackpad
Apple Wireless Keyboard (English)
(plan to upgrade the RAM myself...if the machine ever shows up!)

I couldn't get a desk to fit in the space I have, so I've put a bigger desktop (made it out of a kitchen worktop) onto my present desk, so now I have all the space I need for my iMac.

I ended up getting two cabinets and a glass top for use as a desk. Going to put bookshelves over that for storage. No way am I putting anything heavy up there though. Don't want shelves falling out of the wall onto my computer.

I ordered my 27" with the following configuration on Dec 8th.

It was delivered to my door in British Columbia, Canada on Friday 11th January.

•
3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
•
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
•
1TB Fusion Drive
•
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5
•
Apple Magic Mouse
•
Apple Wireless Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
•
Apple Battery Charger

Our New iMac is here!

As some of you may know I canceled my order and picked up locally. Store Manager and the business team at Willowbrook, NJ are awesome!

There has been some discussion as well about ram. I went with crucial and I'm posting up some photos to end the confusion. I pulled the 8gb, and installed the 32gb before even starting the machine for the first time. No issues. Newegg has this stuff for 86.99. Although I picked it up locally and they price matched.

Build is
3.4 i7
32GB ram
1TB Fusion
680 Graphics

As I sit here Monday morning drinking a beer and eating potato chips (in fairness I have just finished a 12 hour night shift), I have received great news as I checked my order status for the millionth time, I have finally seen a change to "preparing for shipment"

I don't know how long it will take to ship from this point and if I don't die from living an unhealthy lifestyle, I hoped to soon see shipped. By the way ordered on the 12/12/12.

I'll have to update the spreedsheet when the servers stop being busy.

Ordered 12-31 Still "Processing Items" :(

I got the
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

Hopefully it'll go to shipping this week coming up!

Hmmm, my 1-04 date is getting closer :D

Not to rain on your parade.. There are still orders before this one in December that have not shipped. It is all over the place when it comes to the order they are shipping these.

Ordered 12-28.
3TB+Fusion

Just switched to "Preparing for Shipment" today.

I'm a December 21st order. Just called Apple to see how things are coming along on their end and to check the order status. I was totally cool with them and the nice gentlemen bumped me to 2-3 days.

As an aside, prior to my order I called Barclays asking for a same as cash 18 months on the order (having used the offer on another mac in 2010) and they were happy to oblige. For you that have not placed an order yet and hold that card there may be some value in that for you.
