used mothers credit card and will be paying her back friday. I do not own a credit card and will never own one, because i will be very much in debt very quickly

Smart man, that's why I don't have good credit right now.

I am trying to chat with them but they're saying I'm not a home or home office user. It is beyond annoying. Now I get to talk to those lovely people in India who never understand me anyway!

Same thing here. But you can't talk to them until Monday; Customer Care representatives don't work on weekends. bah.

Really? Isn't Dell the commercial where the guy calls up in the middle of the night and gets some nice kid to reassure him they're always there?

Or is that only for Dell Home or something?

That's Tech Support. Customer Care is the complaint desk. :)

I sprung on this deal too, nice little bit of self spoiling. I had pay $38 for shipping to Hawaii since they don't do the free shipping here. Now to find a good viewsonic tv processor for it.

I want to get in on this deal, when do the codes expire? Can I wait until tomorrow?

thanks in advance.

Hot damn. The Mac guy for my major's department at school alerted me to this deal, and I bought it on Friday night. Mom's gonna kill me when she sees this $409 (with tax) purchase on my bank statement, but she's 2 hours away, so I'll have fair warning. :D Can't wait for it to arrive, it shipped yesterday, so should be here Tuesday or Wednesday.

I bought the 2005fpw about a week ago for $434. I just sent an email to Dell support asking for a refund of $45 and they turned it around in about 3 hours. The rep said that I should expect the refund to be credited to my card in 6 - 8 days. I like that sort of service!

I just sent them an email too asking about a refund on my 2405FPW. I did notice though, that in their price protection policy, it says that it only protects you from the retail price, and special discounts are not considered.

How did you convince them to send you the money? Or did it require any convincing?

Well i just got my response... also pretty quick! Unfortuneately, they didn't offer me a refund. The best they can do for me is give me a $75 credit towards any other dell product. I guess that's better than nothing, but I don't want any other dell products...lol

I'll send them a reply and ask if they'll honor the discount on other third party items on their store, such as the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers :)

The coupon is probably their first offer. I'd ask them if you can still return the monitor and repurchase it then. They may pony up then.

Well I took the $75... not a big deal to me, since I was going to buy the speakers anyway (newegg has them for $150) and the $75 credit they gave me worked on the speakers. Add that to the 15% off sale they already had going, and I just ordered my $150 speakers for $67 shipped :)

Which email addy did you use?

Save me the trouble of finding the right one please. :)

So I applied the coupons on Dell's website yesterday to make sure it worked, but when I tried it again today, it said the 40% off one had 'already been redeemed' and wouldn't apply it. Slickdeals.net says that it should be going on until tomorrow. Anyone else come across this? Am I doing something wrong? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Don't worry what the site says. Dell customer support seems to be trained to try and make you happy. You have 21 days to return the unit (no restocking fee). You could easily return the unit and repurchase.

If you're unhappy, they will toss you coupons to make you come back, or if need be maybe offer a bit of a refund.

just remove it from yoru cart and try it again.

I'm trying the same thing, and it's not working...guess all the applications of the coupon have been used up. Also, it's not even giving me free shipping on it all. Quite odd...anyone having luck with this?
