I'm trying the same thing, and it's not working...guess all the applications of the coupon have been used up. Also, it's not even giving me free shipping on it all. Quite odd...anyone having luck with this?

If it's saying redeemed, I'm guessing it's been used up. I would try calling Dell. Play dumb. Say you had it working yesterday and today when you went to place the order, it won't work. I'd say there is at least a 60% chance they can make it happen.

Taken from slickdeals.net. You can get the Dell 2005FPW cheap again. Plus some other monitors as well.

Dell 2005FPW 20" Wide LCD $389, 1905FP 19" LCD $282, 2405FPW 24" Wide LCD $803

Dell Home has deals on LCD monitors. Lowest it's been for awhile.

* 2005FPW Ultrasharp 20" Widescreen LCD
$749 - 40% off coupon W34XRDP2KW2K90
- $60 off $500 coupon C07TR1WFGJ18SF = $389
* 1905FP Ultrasharp 19" LCD
$479 + $21 filler - 33% off ?TN8?M3G6JB5FK
- $60 off $500 C07TR1WFGJ18SF = $282
* 2405FPW Ultrasharp 24" Widescreen LCD
$1199 - 33% off ?TN8?M3G6JB5FK = $803
* 1704FPT UltraSharp 17" LCD
$329 - 33% off ?TN8?M3G6JB5FK
- $35 off $300 ZDV7X34LTDMGMG = $185

Dammit. That means I have to buy one now. :)
Although I have been strongly considering getting the White Westinghouse 17" widescreen from bestbuy at $299 (on sale last week for $249). It is white. :)

EDIT: I guess they have been all redeemed. I guess thats good in that I am not spending the money. But now I am sad. :(

The website is dell.com (click on home user). Apparently the coupon is used up so you might try calling Dell Home.

I'm going to call as soon as I get off work. I'll let everybody know if it works or not, and what to say to them if it does :D
Wish me luck!

Well, I called up the customer support people, told them my tale of woe, and they very politely informed me that that couldn't help me out. There is still an automatic 35 percent off the monitor for home users, and you can still do the 60 dollar discount, as well, so it's still pretty damn cheap. Five percent can make a difference, though. I'm thinking I may wait and see if they do something bigger right before school starts up again...

The $60 off does not work right now for some reason.

Dell was nice enough to give me back $50 from my order. The monitor was $434 I paid $476 with tax, they gave m $50 makes mine $426----not bad because tax was around $50 and some $8 environmental fee.

the 389 is without any tax

the one in euros should have the 21% included, right?

i'm an american in brussels and i have to laugh at some of the prices. i'm thankful i can get items thru the us mail system called apo. then again, your beer is cheaper and while america has some good beers, there are very few like almost all here, we won't even go with the chocolate.

I'm about to buy the same... only for a erm.... slightly ( :mad: ) higher price:
here in Belgium: 1 Dell 2005FPW (straight from www.dell.be): EUR 724,79
or... buy 2 at the same time and get 50% discount on the second one: EUR 1087,19/2 = EUR 543.60.

Compare that to USD 389! That's ~EUR 332 !!!!! :mad: :mad: That's 200 euro's of difference... Dell sucks :mad:

so these are the monitors that use the same lcd as the apple ones, eh?

does dell have a 23" monitor?

anyone know what you need to connect the 2005 to a mini, the stock vga adapter that comes with mini will that work?

which do you think would be best for an animation workstation, two 20" monitors or one 24" monitor?

r.

W34XRDP2KW2K90
coupon code for the 2005 has expired anyone know the new one to get it for 389?

nothing, use DVI if you can...else the vga adapter will work too

Honestly, for 2 montors, I'd probably go with 2 2001FP (non-wide) instead of the two 2005FPW. They were I think about $60 more or something.

But to answer you question, I think 1 24" is probably better. Isn't 2 20" going to be way too wide?
