Dell 2005FPW @ $389

My display just arrived and I've hooked it up.

Got min today, and I JUST got it setup. Holy cow, this thing is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I never thought I'd love something Dell like this :D

Need to add 1704FPT to my signature! :p

I got mine yesterday. This thing is huge! I love it! No visible dead pixels compared to my Apple Cinema Display that has two bright red stuck pixels in the middle of the screen. :rolleyes:
 
Do these offers apply to the dell 2001 FP?

the older not wide screen 20 incher?

and besides the slight increase in pixels and change in dimensions, what are the differences in these monitors?

This screen is outstanding. If only it had a firewire hub, it would be perfect.

And while the stand is not pretty, it does work well.

I think this is what you meant, but it's the 2001FP that has more pixels and the 2005FPW that has less pixels (by about 15k), and not the other way around.

C|Net's specs pages lists the 2005FPW as being brighter, higher contrast, and lower power than the 2001FP, but otherwise pretty similar....

The 2005FPW is actually listed on Dell.be at EUR 449.25 (VAT not included). Still not as good as EUR 332 but not bad. This special discount is valid untill Aug 28. :)
 
Dell just sent me a coupon for $30 off $300, good till october after buying this monitor. While I don't need another Dell, they do carry other electronics. Priced out a new Canon flash about $50 cheaper with coupons then B+H.

Just a heads up that the Dell website sells more then just great monitors :D
