No doubt it's fun and the fact that they did events show a small preview of what's the come, but this game could have been released with one or two more of the future DLCs they're planning and felt like and actual game. As it stands now, 4 planets with limited exploration, repetitive strike missions you're mostly forced to run to level past 20, and a limited range of crucible match types and maps that you're required to run to level past 20 if you choose to do the PVP routes, 1 raid, and some very minor other things mixed in leave this game feeling very incomplete.
There's really not much to do once you hit 20 and if there was a wider variety of objectives and game types, it would really help out. Also, the fact that there's no real character variation or dependencies make this a very linear game with not many options. There's three DPS classes and no missions or strike require you to have any certain combination of the three.
Despite the very limited scope, I've been spending a lot of time on this and I am having fun, I'm just not sure how long it will last.
I would have liked to see abilities that really matter. One class has a shielding special ability you can't even use very often unless you coordinate it with the group and one has an ability that's supposed to enhance the other characters with the same re-use rules. Otherwise, there's no real healing, buffing, or any other active abilities you can use to help benefit your group. That could have added a whole new level to the game and made it more than just a linear shooter with levels. They could have just started everyone at 20 and it really wouldn't have made any difference in the game at all.
