I don't see the M7 coming in the Ipad unless isn't just for something else than tracking your steps,fitness..ok i could be useful in car while driving, while i'm wondering how long till the best ipad will be melted in the entry Air?
Maybe with Ipad as detachable display and the Intel still under the keyboard?
Surface 2 its not a problem but a lot of people including me will pay for a real Osx in a tablet.

Last,i hope to see a quad core in the Ipad5 and 2 G or ram at least, and 1 in the mini,512 beside the A6 could work you're right but i hope to see more this time.

Every time these leaks come out I always find it hilarious that Timmy said that Apple was doubling down on leaks.

Sweet. Can't wait to buy it. Two of them, one for me, one for the chickadee.

Gotta say, this is a year for Apple upgrading for us. We bought a ton of iPhone 5s for the office. Now maybe iPad mini 2s. Also eyeing those new iMacs with the boosted GPUs.

Big reason: Windows 8 sucks, and so does most of the hardware running it. Surface tablet, garbage. Android is o.k., but Android manufacturers suck and Google has zero standards/enforcement. Samsung, LG, Kyocera just awful, and their support is even worse. These cheapo phone manufacturers abandon phones immediately after release, no updates etc. So its OSX and iOS for us.

If you buying hardware/software for the office, I would strongly recommend against getting the latest and greatest when it comes to software OS. Traditionally companies run a version or two behind.

There is nothing wrong with the hardware running windows 8, all that hardware can run windows 7.

depending on mini and retina, gearing to get that and the Ipad 5. My Ipad 3 is starting to show is speed under ios 7.

This is going to be a really lame upgrade.

  • Faster processor? Big deal, they do that every year anyway.
  • Super thin side bezels? Major downgrade. I guarantee you there will be issues with accidentally using the touch screen while holding.
  • Smaller form factor? Who cares, it's not smaller by enough to make it more portable, but it does mean that any previous iPad case won't fit.
  • Longer battery life? Who cares, nobody should be using their tablet all day anyway.

When are they going to add some real specs, like 41MP camera like Nokia has, or NFC like Samsung has, or multitasking, or 128 GB, or some function for the fingerprint sensor (which may not even be included) besides the super rare function of security from intruders?

So far there is literally zero reason for any logical person to be interested in this product. It's actually WORSE than the iPad 4. This is what happens when you trade a visionary like Steve Jobs for a beancounter like Tim Cook.

This does not make any sense whatsoever the Ipad 5 is going to trump the ipad 4 not only aesthetically (more screen estate with slimmer bazel). The guts is going to similar to a iPhone 5s with the 128gb storage. Just look at Apples iPhone 5s benchmarks in terms of graphics and processor performance. Also why in the hell do you want a 41mp in your ipad are you going to be taking photos with it all the time. Stop trolling.

For me I am not in the market for a new iphone as I already have the 5 but the Ipad 5 as i said before will be a welcome change.

I'll consider upgrading my iPad 2 when the new iPad has multi-user support. I see TouchID working brilliantly for that. Until then, I can't believe how great and future-proof the iPad 2 was!

I wouldn't call it future proof. Sure the shelf life was fantastic but I still own one and own newer iPads and some apps just work so much better on the faster iPads with retina. It's a noticeable difference when you have both iPads side by side.[

It's fine if you can't see well enough to notice the retina screen difference, or the slowness of running many apps. It's still good for my mum too.

I really wish people would start to educate themselves just a a little bit more in the photography field. Whoever is responsible for one of the bigest misconception of the century, aka 'High Megapixel = Better pic quality" deserves to be hanged!

Actually never mind people, it is absolutely mind boggling when even companies like Nokia don't realise that!!!

Judging from his response to another reaction to his original post he is just a simple troll or 14 years (or less) old.

u heard of ipad mini right:confused: and no one complaining about touching the screen by mistake.

After all u said, its obvious you just a hater, Pls explain what upgrade samsung did to S4 from s3

All that aside, its time to upgrade from my iPad 2 - been patiently waiting and beside i still love my iPad 2 :D

What would you use NFC in an iPad for, and can you tell us/me where I could actually use it? NFC is not really taking off and is likely going to be made obsolete by functionality such as iBeacon, which are much more flexible, consumer centric and cheaper to implement by retailers etc.

Yet another person dissing NFC without knowing the facts. What would I use NFC for? Well, how about to transfer images from my Sony NEX5 to save me using an expensive Apple adaptor (seeing as Apple won't give people an SD slot for fear of loosing money from those needing higher capacity iPads). I'd also use it to pair to my 55" LG LED TV. I'd also buy NFC tags (because they're so handy), even use it to pay in my local coffee house on a Sunday when I sit there with my iPad and the papers.

I think a lot of people need to research NFC more!

I will really miss black Apple products! I think the iPad Mini looked fantastic in black, and somehow was way more scratch resistant than the black iPhone, maybe because it's simply not a phone, and also because it has rounded edges instead of sharp corners.

It seems like SOME people are finally starting to understand that there are a lot more to camera's then mega pixels. So much marketing.
