Verizon, because I'm in their LTE coverage areas. They have the best and most aggressive LTE deployment and pride themselves on network stability. I also have a 4G Android and it tethers faster than my Comcast connection.

I went with Verizon. AT&T has crappy service in my office building, where all the Verizon co-workers have full bars and nice download speeds on their aircards.

I went with AT&T. My iPhone is with them, and believe or not, AT&T has treated me quite well all these years.

is anyone considering opting for a lower iPhone plan, in favor of getting a 4G iPad plan?....

i use my iPhone, but just ordered an iPad, and plan to almost convert to using my iPad full time over iPhone minus calls. so i might go from unlimited plan on iPhone to the smallest plan, then getting 2gb or something plan on iPad. just curious if anyone plans the same

ATT. LTE is supposed to be in my area by summer and I can live with HSPA+ until then. I have my iPhone with them and data/call coverage has been excellent. And oh yeah, I still have the unlimited data plan with att

whenever I drive thru NC,SC,GA ATT is pretty spotty. alot of the time i have no service or if i have service its like 1 bar and super slow.

THIS is why I bought Verizon 64GB LTE white yesterday afternoon. I cancelled my purchase last night and ordered AT&T version after realizing AT&T offers 3GB data for $30 while VZW offers only 2GB for same price. 2GB is not going to be much for LTE downloads. Of course neither is 3GB. Carriers are ripping the consumer off. VZW definitely has more widespread, reliable coverage in Carolinas and Georgia while AT&T is generally good in major metro areas. So I hope I made right decision.

Oh really? I drove from Oklahoma to Florida last summer down the coastal highway and I didn't have any problems! Interesting.

Good for you but millions of others have the same problem. There is a reason At&t has the lowest customer satisfaction of all the cellphone companies.

Verizon for redundancy. My iphone is on ATT so I spread it out so wherever I'm at I have better odds that at least one will be fast!

I voted Verizon. AT&T's 4G isn't offered in my city yet and Verizons service in this area is better anyways. 4S is on AT&T atm.

Verizon. I have a VZW family plan already. I have a smartphone, the fiancee is going to be moving to a smartphone, plus the iPad. When VZW offers their data plan sharing, I'll be putting the iPad3 on the plan and may go up to 3GB or more.

Where I live AT&T is the only carrier that provides a useable signal. So Verizon would never be a consideration for me.

I seriously considered the Verizon one, since LTE is available locally and it is unknown when LTE will be here on ATT.

But I didn't for the following reasons (kind of conflicting at any one time):

At least the new iPad will support HPSA+, which is available here, so it should be faster than my original iPad 3G.
I have the unlimited plan still in force. So I can have unlimited with the new iPad.
There is the possibility that ATT may, someday, offer a way to share data with both the iPad and my iPhone. If so, I could save money. Obviously, conflicts with the unlimited plan. I would have to give it up if it became available and I switched.

On the flip side, I learned today that Verizon will support a hotspot with no additional cost. I doubt that that would be available on my iPad with my current plan. Of course, if I need it, I can turn it on my iPhone for the month I need it. I haven't needed it yet since it was offered officially on my iPhone.

64GB Verizon on order

I have had both, and tend to get better overall coverage from Verizon. Speeds may be higher on AT&T in some places, but Verizon at lower speed is better than no signal at all.

I have been with AT&T for a LONG time. My iPad 1 was on it too.

I actually ordered the AT&T LTE one but changed my mind when I found out that tethering was included free of charge. That's a significant offering for me.

In addition, I can't wait to have LTE speeds, but at the same time I don't tend to be a data hogger on the iPad. I could barely use all the 300 Mb when I used that plan. Simply put, regular web pages don't take that much data.

Went with Verizon as they have full 4G coverage in my area, and AT&T has poor quality 3G around me... I know this from experience as my iPhones are with them.

Ordered verizon cuz I live in Philadelphia. Not a AT&T "4G-LTE City".
And will not be one in the near feature.

AT&T. Faster 3G when I'm not in an LTE area. Plus I don't plan on using cellular data that much, and AT&T's lowest cost plan is cheapest.

I have data plans for both AT&T (Unlimited iPhone) and Verizon (4G LTE mifi). I have no issues with AT&T 3G in my area... so I wouldn't mind giving AT&T 4G a chance.
