Well at least you have the closure you started the largest thread in the iphone forums.
Anyways I bet it will ship early next week.
I'd be willing to pay the unsubsidized price -- I wouldn't expect a second one for 299.

I registered just so I could participate in this thread! I ordered my 8gb from a central VA store on Saturday the 12th around 4pm Eastern Time and just got the notice that it shipped today 7/20. Hopefully it will be there tomorrow!
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the updates and encouragement. This thread has helped with the frustration of the delays! Hang in there for those of you who are still waiting!

I ordered 2 on 7/11 as well. One has shipped yesterday. Oh gee thanks Apple/ATT. What the heck am I going to do with 1 phone when I have to enable two for a family plan?

There seems to be a pattern where those of us who ordered two of the same model are getting only one at a time. Now I only say that from what I read form those who have received only one f their order.

I ordered 2 of the same model, 2 8GB. One for me and one for my fiance, and they're coming together.
For what it's worth, my order status changed to "Shipped" about 12 hours before hers did, but a check of the Fedex tracking proves that they're together, left the warehouse at the same time, etc.
Congrats!!! How cool to get them together.
I've seen a number of orders where someone has ordered two and they ship days apart. Could be different models or cold Apple & AT&T playing with us...

8 gb model (ordered 7/12) arrived at the store Saturday morning. I was out-of-town, will pick up Monday. Now how hard would it have been for ATT to say..."it will be about a week, check back with us then."?
Thanks! Yeah we're really excited to get them together. She's never been an iPhone or Mac user, so I'm looking foward to bring her over to this side...One gadget at a time.
LOL - well once she gets the iPhone and sees how intuitive Apple makes their products, she'll be running to the "other side"!!!
Oh my god, this is so effen stressful. Two more orders shipped from my store today, but so far at least three have been "skipped" (one from 7/11). These poor people probably ordered the 16GB Black just like myself. I'm next in queue for a shipment -- not that it's at all likely.
After I ordered my 16GB Black (7/13), my phone guy at the AT&T store said that when he saw the white iPhone he thought it looked really sweet. Was that a "wink wink"? Was he hinting that I should order the white one instead? Did my phone guy have some sort of ordering mayhem prescience?

Sure? But what I am saying is that I cannot find a white one at any AT&T or Apple Store near me either. I guess SURPLUS was the wrong word...more of them is what I should have said maybe?
If I can find a white one at a non-gouging price on Ebay (LOL yeah right), I may order that and send this one back when I get it.
from what I've been reading, those who are ordering white phones are having them ship within a couple of days.
It might be worth the the risk to order the white one and just not pick up the 8 gig when it comes in. You have seven days to pick it up and then they return it to stock and cancel the order.

Thank you! People PLEASE don't abuse this, it's really useful for some of us who can't run the script off our own site. Some people keep refreshing it every 5 minutes and either kill the server or cause AT&T to block the site.
I see that 5-6 orders were shipped out today, I went from about #45 to #20 in a few days... gives me hope. It seems pretty random though, they skip over some people and not others, maybe it has to do with 8GB vs 16GB black / white.
Ack! Now you've done it! Now these sites will be down any day ... seems too many people on here think their phones will ship faster if they check their status every three minutes ...
This is probably lost several pages back in the thread, but if you're just looking for a quick tool to check that status of an order you can use http://nsb1.info/~bmichalski/iphone.php?zip=01040&po=9711. Change the ZIP to the zip of the store you ordered and the PO to the purchase number. The purchase number is the "order number" on a receipt without the store number in front.

Two identical 16GB iPhones. I checked the funky order thing and people's AFTER me have shipped. Like.... what?!
