My QTY BACKORDERED has been '0' since 5:00pm yesterday. I've heard that the longer you're on '0', the closer you are to shipping.
Can anyone verify this?
I ordered a 16 GB black on 7/17. It would be a pleasant surprise if it shipped. Maybe AT&T just got a big shipment from Apple? I can dream, can't I?

I was just going to ask about that. I haven't gotten any to work that have been linked in this thread.
It works for me now too. It looks like it only switched back for a very brief time.
WTF? I'm order number 180 at my store...Using the order checking I see that my order hasn't shipped, but 179, 181, 183-195 have all shipped a few days ago! Why
It's not the order checker that's down, att just blocked the way the order checker.. checks for orders.
I run one on my local machine, so I can start it up when I need to.
Look around the thread, you should be able to find one.

I ordered my 8gb on 7/18 and they said 7-21 days.. when I asked if it was business days or regular days, they said regular days. Hearing about all the people having theirs shipped on the last day of their estimate in business days is pissing me off, since I was blatantly lied to I guess :/
WOO this is great... My buddy who works at the att store is giving me a phone that someone canceled the order on. As of today I was #13 and 14 in the queue from my order on 7/15 (so I'll still have to wait for one more phone). I'll be leaving soon to pick it up!

Nothing Shipped Since 7/19??
Here's some scary news for me...according to the order tracker, nothing has shipped to my AT&T store since the 19th!?

I was hoping that since the order tracker went down a few more had shipped, but nope. Nothing. Nada.
And here my hopes were getting up since I've been since on '0' since yesterday.
This sucks. You suck Apple. You suck AT&T. Why are you making it so hard for me to give you $300??

thats nothing, i was told i could get one at the discounted price by 2 ATT employees when infact i couldnt, so my 7 hour wait in line on opening day was a total loss
I really don't understand the level of "freaking out" that some are displaying. I ordered one on the 18th...and ya know what? IT WILL GET HERE WHEN IT GETS HERE.

It's not freaking out. It's frustration because of a poorly planned supply chain. Unless Apple & AT&T are artificially creating shortages (which I doubt, but see Wii, Nintendo), these guys have done a horrible job getting this product into consumers' hands. Other manufacturers sell hundreds of thousands of products a week too and don't run out, why is it so hard for Apple & AT&T?
For a company that's so focused on user experience, this is one crappy experience.
