Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

I think FDE stands for Fedex Expresssource, while F may just stand for some other type of shipping with Fedex. I'm not 100% sure though, there's no way to know for us silly customers.



And it's sad that phones arent shipping today when the tracker showed that phones shipped last Sunday :( Usually I wake up a good few spots ahead in the queue, and sadly, this wasn't one of those mornings. Tomorrow seems so far away :p

If you check one of the queues, you'll see that a lot of phones shipped on Friday and Saturday.
 
Ok so here's my story...

Ordered phone @ ATT store on 7-20 (due to eligibility and corporate discount).
Backordered just like everyone else.

Today I went to my local Apple store (Lehigh Valley) and called ATT to temporarily remove my discount (which worked by the way).

Waited in store for about 30 minutes and walked away with my new iPhone.

Went to the ATT store across the street to re-apply my corp discount (success!)
Was told by ATT store (not the one I DF'd from) to call ATT Business Care to cancel my DF order. Business Care even called the store I DF'd from for me. To nobody's surprise they didn't even pick up the phone. The rep left a message for them to cancel my order and to call me to confirm. Still waiting for that call. (It's been about an hour) The rep also told me that she would send an e-mail to me recapping our conversation. (which I have recieved).

Hope this helps someone out. For those of you still waiting for DF, good luck I hope your wait is short.

Who do you know that ships on Sunday? Hell, people barely even ship on Saturday anymore. Even if it says shipped, it was probably only uploaded to the FedEx system and not actually picked up.

I'm sure there is, but no one has cracked the code yet.

I take it you're getting a 16GB black too? I jumped a bunch of places yesterday, but it wasn't 16GB orders going out. Even though you're backordered, there are two other types of phones that could be shipping in front of you to lower your queue number.
 
My order:

16GB Black 3G: Ordered on July 14th, shipped on the 25th, and slated for delivery on the 28th.

So yeah, the 7 to 10 day lead time that ATT stores in my area have given is a bit off but hey at least i didn't have to wait in line.

If you look at order # 12705 in zip code 97224, it shows that orders might be getting shipped today. Perhaps they mean shipped as in, they have dropped the phone, in a shipping box, at a location, and it won't officially be gotten by FedEx until tomorrow, but they say they are shipping on sunday because the phone is ready to be shipped.
 
As great as the iPhone is, it doesn't magically make FedEx/UPS/USPS ship on Sunday

Shipped it to FedEx? When did AT&T get in to the shipping business? You'll get it by Tuesday at 3pm, no worries.

Some sort of drop off location? Or having them positioned where FedEx picks them up? I think they get them ready for FedEx today and mark them as shipped. FedEx doesn't just magically get the iPhones in their trucks.
 
Yes, exactly. They are ready for pickup, as in the shipping data has been transmitted to FedEx for them to pick it up tomorrow morning.
 
Right...the point being they haven't moved anywhere, and thus not "shipped", more like "ready to be shipped once FedEx drivers wake up tomorrow and go to work"
 
I checked queue in my area, stuck in frustrating spot #2 in the queue, seems like a ton of phones shipped friday and saturday, however I did see a handful (like 3 phones) show as shipped on sunday.
 
just checked my status and it show's mine as shipped sunday 7/27/08, so it looks like they are going out on sunday as well.

You know, I should have thought of that. I didn't look much into the PHP, but I should have known that it returned all of the fields from the order status page.

I wonder what FDE51 is? That was the part I was most interested in (and originally thought was the distinction between types of phones). I probably wouldn't have been able to put two and two together, because my carrier is listed as none for some reason, even though I'm a current customer. I always thought that it was weird that there was no field on the order status page that mentioned which phone was ordered—especially since it has to exist somewhere.

Again, that means that they've alerted FedEx to pick up the package and FedEx might have automatically generated a tracking number. If you check the number it will probably say something like "shipping info received." No one actually ships on sunday. I will be picked up tomorrow and you'll get it Tuesday.

Anyway, my number jumped 4 spaces to #13. 4 were "shipped" today.
 
I ordered a 16 GB Black on 7/16.

My order has a tracking number associated with it but the fedex site has no info on it yet so most likely it has just been picked up by fedex but not really moved yet

i'm now # 8 i'm hoping the pace continues of at least 5 iphones shipped to my store a day then i'll get mine this week.
