When ordering at an AT&T store (no Apple store where I live) do you have to pay the full balance up front or is a deposit all that is needed?

1. You pay the full balance.
2. $100 difference between the two. Black $199, White $299.
They put a hold on the funds in your account, but don't take the money until it ships.
And 8Gig black = $199, 16Gig black or white = $299. it's size, not color. but white is only available in the bigger size.
I just checked AT&T's tracking, and to my surprise the two 16GB black iPhones (one for me, one for my sister) I ordered on the 16th shipped today! They'll be here Monday! =D

In other news, I'm now #19 in queue, with only 5 unshipped ones before the most recently shipped order still. I'm thinking it looks REALLY good for me shipping today or tomorrow
In the last news, my queue checker, located at http://www.jordo.us/queue.php - is pretty quick if any of you want to use it. Just try not to let too many people know about it, cause I'm not certain on how much bandwidth it uses hehe. I have plenty but yeah.

holy ****. has anybody else ordered an 8gig on the 18th and had it shipped already? i ordered mine on the 19th and i didn't know people from the 18th were shipping already. mine has been on 0 for backorder all day long so i didnt know they had 8gig stock today

Ummm, Fedex doesn't ship on Sunday. It looks really poor for you shipping tomorrow.
I moved two places since this afternoon. #17 now. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that at least 6 of them are after the 16GB black like me.
Still, I might ship Monday! I haven't been off of backorder, so they probably didn't get any 16GB in my warehouse today.
If I see another day with backorder off for a long time, I'll probably ship then.Would anyone be kind enough to tell me how to read the jordo.us trackers and herebethedragons? I'm clueless.
1. Make sure that you enter a number before your order number and then your number or one after yours. The number before your order # should be the first one that hasn't shipped. This is tricky because most of the 16GB that are waiting are surrounded by a lot of shipped orders. When I first did it, I ran it from 0. That's the only way to get an accurate count. By now, all from 0-173 have shipped at my zip. So my first # is now 173. You might have to run it from 0 once to find out. My order is 253, so I stop it there.
2. Run it and look for your order number. Barring any places where is says that it didn't exist or was slow, it'll show an accurate count in the ship/queue# column. Whatever number is next to your order in that column is your queue #.
I'm #2 in my queue now... so I'm guessing I have a good shot to get the thing on Tuesday or Wednesday! There's no way this thing can live up to all this buildup...
I noticed tonight im now #9 in the line queue then i noticed an Apple store not far from me is now stocked with iphones dunno if i should wait in line on sunday and get and cancel my DF order or just wait till next week sometime till the DF order comes in.

You put in the last 5 digits of your order number at the end number, and go to an earlier number (quite a bit earlier probably) as the first number and the zipcode of the store you went to and then it just like does it for you.

Man, now mine is showing almost every store with every phone in my state. But who knows how many. I'd love to have it tomorrow, but I don't feel like waiting in a line or getting up early. Screw it, I'm so close now it doesn't matter.
I've got two Apple stores about 15-20 minutes in two directions but I'm not going to either. I say just wait it out. It seems like Apple stores around the country have stock but that doesn't mean they have enough. Now that the second wave is hitting, we might as well just wait. You're even closer in the queue than I am. Plus their system isn't exactly accurate.

It seems like everythings been on backorder all weekend. Usually backorder goes to '0' and I at least know that orders ahead of me are getting filled but mine has been on '1' all day yesterday and today
