Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

Ooohhhh. When you actually look back far enough, looks more like I am number 239! 😡 I guess their 10-21 days is looking more and more likely. To add to the fun, every Apple store in Houston has every model in stock this morning!
 
Well looks like they've changed something in the matrix! Both the AT&T status checker and the herebethedragons site is not responding.

Either way- the process as a whole is very frustrating and I am now hearing that the ATT Stores are having their DF orders filled based on their sales. Those stores with higher sales have their DF orders filled first.

I certainly hope the DF orders being filled are not based on sales since i ordered my 16GB in black at a smaller AT&T store which they only have a total of about 20 iphone DF orders left to fill, they average about 1 or 2 iphone orders a day unlike other stores i noticed have between 15 to 25 orders a day. Hopefully the AT&T warehouse is going by date if order and not sales.

Thanks I'm going to do that today. I don't like incompetence, I think they gave my phone to someone else and they have even charged my ATM card!

EDIT: I just checked my bank again and it looks like the pending went away and they haven't charged me yet.
 
Strange....I am finally in the Top 5 for the 16G black phone (ordered on 7/19) but...for some reason....my CC has not been charged a thing? No hold, no pending charge. I guess its looking like a Monday delivery and a Tuesday in store activation...or is that being too optimistic?

Same here... still waiting for them to charge the CC. And the way things are going your being too optimistic LOL! but hey one can hope!!

Yeah I see that, but it's slow as h3ll now. Still no shipments out to my store today. Anyone got shipments to their store today? Wonder if their systems are down again like a few days ago?

My store has 2 phones w/ a 7/31 ship date...and about 10 more cancellations...

I ordered mine on 7/22 and I'm still like a 100 in my queue, but if it wasn't for all of the cancellations I'd be way higher...
 
Although this is common knowledge most likely. They do not ship in order. I was able to verify with an ATT Rep that they do not ship on first come first serve with respect to the model you ordered. I was totally crushed when I heard that. I went in armed with my herebethedragons print out and said I wanted to cancel my order and just go to the Apple store. I told him the reason why I wanted to cancel was because they are skipping people and currently I hold the record for longest wait time with my specific store -soon to be in my third week of waiting. He told me that they are in fact shipping them somewhat randomly and that they've known for some time. He did call some other ATT entity on the phone just to verify my order wasnt accidentally cancelled nor that there was some glitch with my account in the system. He then told me (while on the phone ) he was told that the warehouse gets x amount of phones in, it then generates a ship list covering all zip codes it services and then ships them out with certain zip codes having priority. He said that the system attempts to go in order but if there is a slight hiccup when it comes to your order number it skips it and goes to the next one. Its suppose to catch it the next time around and fill any outstanding orders provided they are for that specific phone model. I dont know how to take all this, it just added to my frustration. he convinced me to give it one more day to see if it came in. The guy wasnt too bright and I assume he called the customer service rep number but I dont know for sure. Now I'm not sure what to do.
 
Well I guess all the bitching helped cause mine shipped today. Of course the guy in front of me is still waiting, but maybe he preordered a blackberry bold or something. Anyway hang in there guys. Oh and hammer the AT&T site. That's what I did today and maybe they just wanted to get rid of me.😀

HOLY CRAP !!! Not more than what 30 minutes from my ordeal at the apple store ...my iPhone has now shipped. Give a heads up to anyone ordering from the Chicago area...it comes from FT Worth TX. I am starting to think Greg was right -if you complain then they just want to get rid of you.

I ran the que again and it looks like they did go back and ship the ones that were skipped. I left the herebethedragon list with the manager. They have so far shipped seven which seems bizarre so early in the day. There were four of us that were skipped for days and all have their orders shipped now. I ordered a 16GB black..so maybe that guy was on the level.
 
I was extremely optimistic about my two black 16gbs shipping today. Other 16gig black orders that were placed on the same day or after me have shipped, so I am very far up in the queue.

Backorder status has been stuck at 1 today and my card hasn't been charged. I don't think I'll have it for tomorrow. I leave for a week and a half saturday morning, so I was really hoping it would come in tomorrow 😡
 
do you HAVE to wait to receive the email that they have your phone? like someone else said in another post the tracking says it was delivered but i haven't received an email from AT&T yet.
 
has anyones backorder gone to 0 for the 8gb?? mine has been at 1 all day and i know i am the next 8gb for my store! i was just wondering if everyone has been at 1 all day...

What does common sense say? FedEx says it's delivered..then guess what? It's delivered. You don't need AT&T permission to come in to the store
 
MY IPHONE JUST SHIPPED!!! thank goodness!! makes me so happy. So final result 16G black ordered 7/19 shipped 7/31 will pick it up at the store tomorrow (weather they call me or not) 8/1

It comes in 3's! Mine too!! They were right! 7-10 days. Hell of a lot better then waiting in line....if you are not in a hurry. Cheers ZULater02 and spacedout17.
