Why are people buying and returning? You know you are getting an iPhone, much of which is familar and there is enough information online to determine whether or not the minor spec improvements are worth it over your current device.

There is not a great deal of noticeable difference in weight between my old 13 Pro Max (stainless steel) and my new 16 Pro Max (titanium), I mean its a matter of grams, in fact its just 11 grams difference. That is a pencil or 2 sheets of A4 paper, almost unnoticeable. Now you say the 16 Pro is 'noticeably heavier' than the 15 Pro and in fact there is 22 grams difference which is the average weight of a single coin. Is that really going to make someone gasp in horror and return a phone they've just shelled out £999 for? I am not convinced to be honest and think its more psychological on the persons part than the product.
You can think whatever you want. But the weight was the first thing I noticed when I picked it up. It is almost 10% heavier.

I’m going to return my 16 pro max because of the touch responsive issue. I’m also having that issue with taking videos at 4k 24 and 30fps using the macro mode. It freezes on me every time I try to use it. I can’t believe nobody else hasn’t mentioned that here.
Thanks ( sigh) , I just tried doing a video 4k 30 and then when I get close to a writing on a box for example it stops recording and freezes all the time. What’s that about ???
Edit. Never mind another common issue.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. It freezes on the 4k24 and 4k30 video when macro mode is enabled. I use that a lot and I can’t use it on this phone. It was posted here also.

Are you proud of embarrassing yourself?

Weight I can give you that, but size?? Please see here, and tell me again how you notice the size difference…

Yep, the guy thinks he notices, let’s keep it that way…
The amount of bootlicking in this thread is absurdly silly.

The weight increase is noticeable. Though the number is small, it is comparatively a significant percentage. Imagine your weight increased from 187 to 199 lbs. You think you wouldn’t notice? Come on, get real now 😂

The extra height is absolutely noticeable. I still have the 15 Pro and when standing them side by side, it is surprisingly significant.

Combined, that also slightly changes the center of gravity when resting on your pinky. All of that together makes it feel heavier.

You don’t need to come at me like I’m attacking your precious baby. I’ve been buying new iPhones almost every year since the 4 and will continue to do so because I like them. But that doesn’t mean facts don’t exist.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

I’m clearly not as sensitive to it but whatever, nothing more to add.
And that’s also okay. But no need to discount others who do notice. Some people don’t mind the heavy monstrosity that was the iPhone 14 Pro. 15 Pro was such an insane improvement weight-wise.

Sorry but I don't buy this. If you're so sensitive with weight, you'd do your research before buying and you'd see the (ridiculous) difference would probably affect you. Like someone said earlier, we all pay for those impulsive buyers who can't control themselves and always have to buy things just for trying it. There's an overall cost that companies consider for the final pricing.

We knew from the start what the phone have to offer. Sorry but so far all those people coming from a 15 and return their 16s are saying stupid excuses that could easily be avoided by reading first. In fact, this whole thread is ridiculous. It's like someone buying a new car and saying it's the same as the last year one they already own and want to return it. You can't be taken seriously.

EDIT : What makes this whole return situation even more pathetic is all those people returns their phone after just one or two days. So basically try and trash it after. They not even try to learn and maybe like their new toy. Just for exemple, at first I really didn't like the camera button and also thought its a gimmick, but after a couple of days when I learned I could launch the modifier glass with it and lower the sensitivity of the button, I really like it and I think it'll be very useful to me.

I upgrade from X🅂 to 16 this year. Similar dimensions and weight, much better chip and camera performance. Battery last much longer than a 100% health battery X🅂.
I love it. And might consider upgrading again when iPhone 20 launches.

I just bought my 15Pro last year after three years with my 8Pro so far i have not seen any real reason to get a 16Pro, maybe later i will see something to change my thinking but now i am just reading what others are posting and waiting there is plenty of time to upgrade if it's really an upgrade.

Nope very happy with my 16 pro max. I came from 15 pro and the bigger screen is amazing.

I wouldn’t have upgraded from a 15 max though.

Just because I notice it, doesn’t mean I’m complaining about it or returning my phone because of it. Settle down, people 😂 you guys are so silly.

Turn your macro mode and try to take a video in 4k 24 or 30fps when you try to focus on something it will freeze and crash.

I just tried this on my 16PM and can’t reproduce the issue. I tried focusing on objects and small print on whatever paper or object I have around my desk. I also tried zooming in and out using all 3 lenses and no problems. What else specifically triggers this?

*Edit- made sure macro control is enabled and used the dial to zoom in and out.

Count your blessing. I didn’t need to do any of that. Just record in 4k 30, whilst recording get close to a box of cereal for example then tap the screen for the iPhone to focus on writing then it’ll turn over in its grave 😂

Did you put it on 4k24 and 4k30 not the default hd30

Tried again and tapped on more objects, zoomed in and out, aimed toward a box of tissues and zoomed in on the writing, same thing on a bag of throat lozenges. No issues 🤷‍♂️

@Snayton - yes

Amazingly not seeing any of the other issues that have been mentioned out there as well. I'm sure I'll start seeing issues pop up the day after the return / exchange window ends and just jinxed myself 😅.
Weird. Mines not doing today. It would fall over every time last night when doing it. Mine working again 🤣

Edit. Just realized I had HDR ON. It works fine with HDR enabled but not without.

See my edit to previous post.
Aha, there it is! Just tried it and I didn't crash, just a lot of freezing, it normalizes after a second or two. Probably a software bug that'll get ironed out. I never shoot in 4K 30 or 24 so it really won't impact me for now.

I’m pretty happy with my 16 but definitely notice the frame drops, but if I could do it before the high refresh rate was a thing I think I’ll adjust in time.

I'm a person that very much notices and likes the higher refresh rate. However, I've found that once I'm off of it for a week or so, I don't even notice or remember any more (until I use a device that has it again).

thats this person's m/o continually discounts their point of view.. absolute... 78fdas
