What the hell is wrong with AT&T? Can't they get anything right?
Nope. Can I switch to Verizon now? I have a global phone!

Ug I keep getting the same thing on my new phone. My 4 still works but I want to use the new phone I paid money for. Damn AT&T

Same thing just happened to me but I kept doing the start over option and just got it to go through. Restoring now....
Doing this, and have been doing this for the past hour. No success as of yet.
Their servers -- I mean SERVER -- is getting hammered. Man they really should have the infrastructure in place to handle these launches. Pipe dream I guess.
Anyone using an upgrade from another account? Apparently you can't just switch the SIM card anymore.
Not working here... seems like the SIM swap won't work. Have to activate under the account, then CALL AT&T and inform them that you'd like to switch SIMs. Haven't tested this out yet. I thought the point of SIM cards was the easy swappability without having to contact the carrier. What a pain in the ass.
Just received this email from do_not_reply@apple
I have unlimited data, I'm guessing thats the problem. It shouldn't be an issue, I selected unlimited data for iPhone 4s upon checkout with apple.com. The number leads to an AT&T number that seems overloaded atm![]()
If this is a problem, I am going to be pissed. I thought we were all grandfathered into unlimited data and $5 texting if we had it. If that's not the case, why were we allowed to choose it when selecting a phone? I would have switched carriers if I could not keep those.
I'm in the same boat! Please let us know what happens! I would HATE to lose my unlimidated data and $5 and would also have switched over to Verizon if I knew that was going to happen
