How soon after the initial air date do you see shows appear?
DTVN is a live streaming service with VOD as well. For VOD, they seem to appear a week or two after air date. Clearly, Hulu is a better option for VOD.
How soon after the initial air date do you see shows appear?
Can anyone speak on the performance differences of DTVN on the Apple TV vs. the Amazon Fire Stick ?
Do they both stream the service similarly smooth ?

Does anyone know if there are any new apps that support DT Now as a sign up?
I know the initial ones that were listed at launch, (ABC, disney, etc). Just checking to see if any additional apps have been added since then.
Thanks.
Looks like they're mostly the same as at launch.
- ESPN (WatchESPN)
- HBO GO (requires premium bolt-on subscription to HBO)
[doublepost=1485469556][/doublepost]Also dropping this here if anyone missed it, HBO GO can now be used with Apple's TV App.
- MAX GO (requires premium bolt-on subscription to Cinemax)
If anyone has the bolt on HBO sub within DirecTV Now, HBO GO is the accompanying app.
Hasn't HBO Go been since DTVN was released? Seems like the major update is it being single sign on. However DTVN doesn't support single sign on.
DTVN added a bolt on sub for Starz at $8 a month. Support for sign in with Starz has been added as well.
A few users have managed to get DTVN sign in working with FOXNOW and FXNOW, official sign-on support should be coming soon.
An App update went out for iOS & Apple TV on February 6th. This added binge mode for on-demand content (autoplay) & defaulted the tv guide on current shows rather than networks. A hint was added to swipe up (on startup) for additional content, as well. Additional details below:

I have noticed in the last week or so the quality has changed within the AppleTV app. The picture used to be what appeared to be 60fps, but it now seems to be reduced to 30fps. The iPhone and iPad app were always limited to 30fps but the AppleTV app was not.
This can be seen by watching a channel with a ticker at the bottom such as ESPN or CNN. There is noticeable jitter in the movement whereas it used to be perfectly smooth. I used to be extremely impressed with the picture quality on the AppleTV app which was much better than that of my Xfinity X1 cable box so it is disappointing that this has changed.
I wonder how they got fx apps to work?
My guess is that they're going to eventually roll it back to 60FPS but they're just testing codecs to see which ones were causing all the problems people were having. Some people over on the reddit were dumping their networking information to find the codecs that were being phased into channels. I think it makes sense.
If they stick with 30FPS I'll still keep it, but I'm not really happy about a drop in quality if it does end up permanent as I've also noticed it as well. It's noticeable for sure.

Yeah I don't know the exact procedure. They tried detailing it a little bit in the thread I linked, but to be honest I will just be patient and wait for official support. I'm just glad that this is clear evidence support will be here soon.
I followed the instructions a few times and couldn't get it to work. Oh well. I'll just wait for the official app support. I'm sure it's not to far along since people have bypassed the login and got it using DTVN credentials.
Yeah, they are rolling out some new logins today.
NBC Sports & NBC Golf. I don't think they're live yet though. I didn't even bother doing the sign in method that was posted because I don't want to break my terms of service or anything.
Yes...it is on my "To Do" list to cancel it!!! Didn't realize how much I needed DVR and all locals until I subscribed and tried to use the service. They did me a favor, helping me understand what was important to my tv viewing. For those who jumped in early, the prepaid three-month term is nearing the end.
Freezing happens rarely now compared to a few weeks ago. But there is still no way to fast-forward if you use the "watch from the beginning" feature. Availability of on-demand content still sucks. The user interface is still pretty terrible. And I had almost forgotten how annoying the commercials are on live TV (having used only services like ad-free Hulu and Netflix for several years).Overall, are people still seeing problems?
And last night, the guide was missing programming information entirely for ABC, and it was impossible to tune to it directly; it could only be reached via up/down from the adjacent channels.
