At the Keynote Apple said the Public beta would be released "later this month". The 30th is just 19 days away.

That's 2 weeks and 5 days.

The 30th is a Friday (and the LAST day the month) and Apple usually (but not always) drops betas near the first of the week (most often on Tuesday). Again this is only a few days and NOT in "several weeks". AT&T is slow and not likely to have an iOS 11 update by then. That's 2 weeks and 5 days.

Everyone PLASE go to the AT&T DirecTV forum (they monitor it) and post about tvIO11 & iOS11 app incompatibility The public beta is about to open and you will (I have ) lose DTV Now on yourTV, iPad and iPhone. This needs to be addresses and AT&T is slow to do this. So don't want until you have iOS11/tvOS11.
DO IT NOW. Here is a link to the thread I started.

Agreed, its just one of those instances where its better to wait until the OS goes gold.Or, not install the beta perhaps? Just sayin’
Of course, but AT&T will still need to make an update and the sooner they start the more likely is it will get done before launch. It's not that big of a deal to me since I have an iPad Air that I'm running iOS 10 on. However when the beta comes out there will be millions of people (and 10,000s of DirecTV Now) that won't have an iOS 10 device to fall back on and will be locked out of the DirecTV app.Agreed, its just one of those instances where its better to wait until the OS goes gold.
No, still crashes right away. There is a new update to the app that came out yesterday. I'm thinking it probably still doesn't work with iOS 11, but I thought I would mention it anyway just in case it helps someone.
It is possible the fix will be in the next tvOS and iOS betas. I heard of another App that was doing something similar and the developer was going to wait until a later release but decided to fix right away because it was something simple. I do not know more then thatstill wont work. I'm sure DTV/AT&T will get to it sooner than later. I honestly would be surprised if they update before the Public Beta goes out.
They may very well be working on it, we just don't know. I'm not saying we'll see an app right before, or right after the rollout of the OS, but rather there's no way to tell.Of course, but AT&T will still need to make an update and the sooner they start the more likely is it will get done before launch.

Given that we're talking about ATT, I'd probably assume the worst, though
oday's DirecTV Now update fixes the crashing on iOS 11 .. and tvOS 11.
Signed up for the service for one month just to see if it improved. Streaming improved greatly and the PQ is better but dang the ad load is crazy. I know the ads come from the network but going through 20 random channels and 18 channels were playing ads no thanks. I will cancel no wonder cord cutters don't want this. A virtual DVR would help if the ads could be skipped.
...that's what live TV is. What did you think you were getting?
I know that coming in. What I read was BS articles saying that the cable channels were going to reduce the ads because of cord cutters dropping the service. Well that is BS because they play more ads now then they did before they said that....that's what live TV is. What did you think you were getting?
