That's 2 weeks and 5 days.
The 30th is a Friday (and the LAST day the month) and Apple usually (but not always) drops betas near the first of the week (most often on Tuesday). Again this is only a few days and NOT in "several weeks". AT&T is slow and not likely to have an iOS 11 update by then.

One word

Beta

Lots of things don't work in Betas, especially early releases.

It's a great rule of thumb to not download it until you confirm the app and the iOS version you want to run are compatible with each other.

Carrying on about stuff not working in Dev Beta 1 happens every year and every year it's as ridiculous as the year before.

Everyone PLASE go to the AT&T DirecTV forum (they monitor it) and post about tvIO11 & iOS11 app incompatibility The public beta is about to open and you will (I have ) lose DTV Now on your :apple:TV, iPad and iPhone. This needs to be addresses and AT&T is slow to do this. So don't want until you have iOS11/tvOS11.

DO IT NOW. Here is a link to the thread I started.

Or, not install the beta perhaps? Just sayin’

Agreed, its just one of those instances where its better to wait until the OS goes gold.
Of course, but AT&T will still need to make an update and the sooner they start the more likely is it will get done before launch. It's not that big of a deal to me since I have an iPad Air that I'm running iOS 10 on. However when the beta comes out there will be millions of people (and 10,000s of DirecTV Now) that won't have an iOS 10 device to fall back on and will be locked out of the DirecTV app.

There is a new update to the app that came out yesterday. I'm thinking it probably still doesn't work with iOS 11, but I thought I would mention it anyway just in case it helps someone.

still wont work. I'm sure DTV/AT&T will get to it sooner than later. I honestly would be surprised if they update before the Public Beta goes out.

It is possible the fix will be in the next tvOS and iOS betas. I heard of another App that was doing something similar and the developer was going to wait until a later release but decided to fix right away because it was something simple. I do not know more then that

They may very well be working on it, we just don't know. I'm not saying we'll see an app right before, or right after the rollout of the OS, but rather there's no way to tell.

Given that we're talking about ATT, I'd probably assume the worst, though

Not sure I would hold my breath for an update before public beta. They just announced coming soon features like DVR and locals for more locations. They may very well hold out for GA if their DVR launch isn't ready rather than put energy into multiple releases.

Many of the early adopters of DTVN are probably less risk averse and will jump on the tvOS PB. If the app doesn't work, many of us with the grandfathered $35 plan and free HBO may just jump ship, which would probably be OK with AT&T. I had to use iOS version with airplay, but now the iOS update is causing DTVN to crash. Contemplating dropping, but the only thing that keeps me hanging on is I can still use it on my older iPad, and my second ATV without the beta.

Signed up for the service for one month just to see if it improved. Streaming improved greatly and the PQ is better but dang the ad load is crazy. I know the ads come from the network but going through 20 random channels and 18 channels were playing ads no thanks. I will cancel no wonder cord cutters don't want this. A virtual DVR would help if the ads could be skipped.

So it appears that the DVR function is finally ready for public testing. They're taking applications for beta testers via emails sent today.

One requirement is a "myAT&T" login, which eliminates me.

Those of you who do probably have your work cut out for you.

...that's what live TV is. What did you think you were getting?

I know that coming in. What I read was BS articles saying that the cable channels were going to reduce the ads because of cord cutters dropping the service. Well that is BS because they play more ads now then they did before they said that.

The CW being added has to do with the fact it is part owned by Warner Brothers which if the merger goes through what Time Warner AT&T and DirecTV will be part owners of the CW Network

Is there a list anywhere of the 100 local channels that Directv Now currently carries?
