Chat reps only still. They really need to step up their game in that department though, chat support can be fine but they pretty much have a low quality CS department in that regard.

As someone who it took about 4 months to get them to link my cell phone and my regular DIRECTV together I'm a sceptic.

Just to give you account credit ? Did you try calling during that 4 months to try and fix it ? They do say in this deal it may delay 2-3 billing cycles, was it a delay or they couldn't find it ?

Oh yeah. I talked with them a number of times. It was just after the merger and you could tell they were absolutely lost.

Yeah mergers can be messy. Should be better by now.
It's not.

I have phone and U-Verse broadband and TV with all accounts combined. When I call for info, issues, requests, etc., they still can't figure out who should take the call. Usually get switched from this department to that department. One approach I have found to work pretty good though, is to use their chat. For some reason, the chat people usually seem to be able to take care of me with minimal effort...not sure why, though.

Really ? I've had alot of questionable experiences with chat. They give me alot of wrong info.

Really.

Just goes to show how uneven service, probably with any company, can be, I guess.
The best customer service is the one you NEVER CALL (or Chat). It just works. And if they have a problem they openly announce it and provide solutions or if no solution just say we have no solution at this time.

I noticed that today they have the free AppleTV offer back if you sign up and pay for 3 months. There was a countdown timer on the page indicating that it lasts another 6 days or so.

Old news. It's been like that since it was announced.

It does look like they have extended the offer. The details show the new cutoff date is 3/31/17.

Today's 10.2 Apple TV update has improved scrolling. Finally can scroll the full DirectvNow guide from the bottom back up to the top faster. It's activated by touching the right edge of the trackpad up and down.

Now if we could get a previous channel button or shortcut that'd be great! Maybe they can introduce lower left trackpad click jumps back to previous channel?!? Or long press on trackpad. Wishful thinking

The best way to get previous channel is to swipe up (I think, I'm not in front of my TV now) and look at the "What's on Now" channels in the lineup. Your previous (several) channel(s) will be there and you can pick it pretty quickly. It's not an instant last channel button, but it's quicker than going to the guide to find your recent channels.

Quick question, I have the GO Big package & on the menu page there are a two rows, one with channels listed as subscribed the other with channels that are unsubscribed.

All the unsubscribed channels are listed individually, is it possible to subscribe to individual channels?

For example, Starz & Showtime are listed with labels that say unsubscribed, but so are channels like boomerang.

You can't sub to individual channels except for the HBO, Cinemax, STARZ group.
