Well, If this is going to be how Apple treats Early Adopters from now on, I simply won't buy any of their products until ALL the updates become available. I am holding off (with much difficulty) on the MacBook Air because i have a feeling in 3 years there will be a revision Z with 1TB of storage 8 GB of RAM and the fastest processor availble, all in a 0.2 of an Inch. If anything, the update should be Costly for the New People, not as expensive but still NOT FREE. The update should be cheaper than $24.99 (AUS) $19.99 (USOA) and should even be FREE to the Early Adopters. WE have already tolerated the Dark Screen Video Issue & Calendar Adding Error by waiting for Firmware Updates. I think that Apple should offer TWO Versions, One FREE with the HomeScreen Customization and Notes. The $10.00 Version with Mail, Stocks, Weather and the other App excluding Notes. APPLE we all Have NOTES on the Previous iPods we have bought, so why not the TOUCH. As for the Home Screen Customization, that should have been there in the first place. I have $24.99 for the Update OR something else. The iPhone Update is FREE and adds the same Home Screen Features + Bug Fixes that are always un-noticeable to the untrained eye, The iPod Touch Update should be FREE with the Home Screen Customization + Themes + Notes + Bug Fixes but NOT with Mail and whatever extra Apps there are. Thus shutting up people (who won't give up protesting on Apple dot Com after Several Discussions have been closed. This is just my two cents) I am posting this from my iPod and wanted to put this on my HomeScreen (The Site) and click on it whenever I wanted to check for Replies or News. This is unavailable because Apple have been greedy in asking for $419.00 (AUS) + $24.99 (AUS) = $444.00 (AUS Dollar) all for an iPod with a touchscreen crammed in the face and a Copy/Paste job of the iPhone OS to it. COME ON APPLE. Make it either Cheaper/FREE or in the TWO versions.
I usually stand by Apple with people bad-mouthing the 'Yuppy-Style' products but NOW i am furious and never expected Apple to do something like this.
Cheers
