What about UK? I’m on the cheapest plan with ads.
Not sure about monthly plans, but as an annual subscriber, I received an e-mail outlining a pricing rise to £130 as of October 1st... I've got a 15% cashback offer from AmEx, but not sure it won't expire before my renewal.

For now, I'm grandfathered in to the Legacy bundle under my Verizon plan. However, I watch so irregularly that if and when that changes, I don't see myself subscribing independently.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Disney is trying to win back the subscribers with a price hike. It just might be crazy enough to work.

I have Disney, the cheapest possible with ads - I can deal with it - not watching much.
If I start to watch less, I’ll cancel 😂

Bad timing after the Kimmel controversy...whichever side you are on.

Would have been better business to let feelings settle down.
There are a lot of people cancelling their Disney+ subscription because of the Kimmel controversy. This is likely the reason Disney's subsidiary, ABC, caved.

I'm on Jimmy's side, BTW. Since the days of yore, the court jester was allowed to poke fun at the King and his policies. All Jimmy did was carry on the tradition of the court jester.

Great timing, the backlash following the Kimmel suspension was swift and now he's back tonight. The press release by Disney was clueless and deaf to the FCC threat against pulling their license and not approving their prized meager.

Ask me "What is the most important thing about comedy?"

"What is the most imp__"

"Timing."

Is it just me, or when you get these ad supported tiers, the exact same ads are shown throughout the entire show? So you watch an hour long episode with 4-5 ad breaks, but you are served the same 3-4 ads 4-5 times. its mind numbing.

Futurama, Alien Romulus, and Alien Earth, and Mandlaorian are good.
They also have The Office. New Daredevil was bad.

So basically an aging show, a movie, a quickie series, and another aging show.
And they also have a very old show, and a show you don’t like.

This was just their annual price update like they do for the theme parks and everything else. The Kimmel thing was too fast for them to change anything due to them being such a huge company. I subscribe because of my niece and nephew, sister-in-law (they live next door so we share internet and streaming) and I tried to drop it to ad free but I got hammered into adding it back to no commercials. Funny thing is I watch it more than all of them I’ve seen every original show for Star Wars and Marvel and have been watching all the recent live action and animated movies as they appear. The Little Mermaid live action was the longest and worst, no Disney magic and amateur acting and forgot it had music in the whole second half. The director used to do good stuff but wow. I liked Snow White way better, I liked the new songs although there weren’t enough. And Elio deserved to flop. Seems like no one reads the scripts anymore. Strange World was boringgg but pretty. My favorite marvel movie was The Marvels, it was shortest marvel movie, had that amazing planet where everyone communicates via musical songs, and the cute Flerkins floating around meowing while the song Memory from Cats was blasting! I was just so happy since I’m the hugest broadway musical fan.

To each their own. I tried Disney+ before and couldn't find anything that interested me. I have Youtube Premium is all

Can't think of anything I want to watch on Disney. I'm not the target market, but I got hulu with it for like $4 a month for 3 months not long ago. Cheap enough to watch and enjoy Alien: Earth.
