Futurama, Alien Romulus, and Alien Earth, and Mandlaorian are good.
They also have The Office. New Daredevil was bad.
I’ve watched all the Mandalorians. How long has it been since a new one released? I do need to check out the Aliens shows. Thanks for reminding me.

time to bust out the VHS/DVD combo player again.

You guys are reporting this all wrong. Here's how you should be thinking about this...

Money saved annually by cancelling Disney+:

  • Disney+ With Ads - $144, up from $120
  • Disney+ Ad-Free - $228, up from $192
  • Disney+, Hulu Bundle (Ads) - $156, up from $132
  • Disney+, Hulu Bundle (No Ads) - $240
  • Disney+, ESPN, Hulu Bundle (Ads) - $240, up from $204
  • Disney+(No Ads), Hulu (No Ads), ESPN Select (Ads) - $360, up from $324
  • Disney+ (No Ads), Hulu (Ads), ESPN Select (Ads) - $300, up from $264
  • Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Basic (Ads) - $240, up from $204
  • Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Basic (No Ads) - $396, up from $360

Some of these savings are enough to afford Apple hardware.

We're quickly reaching "just buy your favorite movies on blu-ray and save" pricing.
I dropped Paramount+ with Showtime, HBO and MGM+ and have been buying DVDs. I rarely pay more than $10 for a used or even new Blu-ray or 4K because Shout Factory, Kino Lorber, Criterion, Gruv and Amazon frequently have sales.

Another benefit is that most DVDs come with bonus features, such as making-of docs and deleted scenes, that are unavailable on streaming.

I reached it a while ago. Cancelled all my streaming services a while ago. Have bought more DVDs, mostly 4k blu-rays really in the last year than the last ten combined.

It's better. Once you own them, the price never goes up. Hang onto anything that still works that way.

I’m not surprised Disney+ is doing this, as well as others like tv+. They’re trying to force people to annual subscription to make subscribing only for 1 month less attractive.

Apple should promote its movie and TV store as an attractive alternative

"A streaming service has increased prices, this has been moved to the political channel"

That's gotta be some kind of cultural marker that we're ****ed, right?

The issue is most new movies are trash, and they you are stuck with a BluRay disc that you won't ever watch again, not to mention the clutter when having hundreds of movies.

That's why I've decided to just download movies nowadays. 😎

I got the Hulu D+ bundle last year for like 3.99 a month and it's not even worth that. I am definitely cancelling it. I did enjoy some of the Nat Geo stuff but not for 12 a month. Starz is next, also not worth it.

This is comical.
Ar every hike people keep renewing their subscription and supporting this so the know they can just keep going.

Too bad the old rabbit ears have little or no signals to bring into the TV.
Dang, that's a shame. We have lots of signal here. Right now we have 122 channels. Admittedly, not much of that is interesting to me, but there are some gems in there.

I think they thought we'd be all on about Kimmel, but really the incessant price hikes are motivating enough on their own.
