Whether this is legit or not, my first thought when they announced 'Find My Friends' is that it could be used exactly for this. And, if a spouse asks the other for permission to be added to Find My Frieds' and the other declines, that already sets up the basis for some suspicion.

It could also be used the other way around and help a cheater. Lets say your wife or husband says I'm going to bob's house to watch the game, they go over there and leave the phone at bob's house then go out somewhere and cheat. You check find my friends/iphone and see they are right where they said they would be and think everything is ok.

they could even take it up another notch and leave the iPhone connected to wifi and take the sim with them and stick it in another phone so they can even text you and receive your calls from where ever they are while you think they are at their friends house.

The timestamp on the forum post is dependent on your time zone. So, if you are in Central time zone, it will show it as 12:42 AM where as for him it was 1:42 AM.

I really don't understand what the big deal is. If you can't have a GPS implanted in your brain and have your spouse track your every move, then perhaps you shouldn't be married. I don't have to hide from my wife because I don't do anything I need to be ashamed of. If I wanted to hang out in strip joints and spend afternoons with my assistant packing meat, then why the hell am I married? Some guys just don't have the guts to be alone and be honest about what they want. Me, put a GPS up my... nose and track me all you want. Worst case you will find me on the golf course when I'm supposed to be working.

possible but I assumed the text screenshots were not the first of the night, only what was posted. Because initially she was in east village and then moved onto MPD.

That was the second 'occurrence', supposedly. If you take a look at the post where he posted those pictures (not the original post) it was at 1:35am, and the last screenshot was taken at 1:26am. Nothing suspicious here.

Very interesting story. This guy trusts a launch day product, Assisted GPS, in a major city, presumbly with lot of high rise buildings, and ready to divorce.

First he should enroll in GPS101.

There could be satellite reception issues, device calibration issues, aGPS algorithm may have issues to name a few.

Anyway by tracking her without consent, she has better chance to take him to cleaners.
