i dont smoke, and i never will......but i dont object to people doing it, they certainly have the ability to make their own descisions, and i dont think it requires my input.

Thank you. As a smoker I am glad to hear someone say that they don't mind letting the world be free and allowing free men to make their own choices without personal input.
There are much better things to do with that money. For the price of a pack, you can eat from a value menu or save towards a CD or something you need.
So, you can clog your arteries and get fat, or waste your money on material possessions…
I don't see either of those as constructive alternatives.
On a side note, the government have just introduced a law, where all cigarette packets have to have graphic pictures of the detrimental health effects. They're really gross - gangrenous feet, diseased lungs, blocked arteries and mouth cancer.
If those were the standard effects of smoking, my friends and I would look like we have the black plague.
Anyone ever work in advertising? We all know that the hamburger in the commercial isn't real. And it certainly doesn't look like the one we get at the burger joint.
Obviously it's those peoples' jobs to find the most disgusting photos possible of the symptoms they want to promote to scare you. So they search the world for them I'm sure. And the ones you see probably came from some third world country without health standards and education, and those people could have been coal miners as well for all you know.
You believe everything you see the in the modern world of photoshop and advertising mastery?
Can't people keep their moralizing to themselves?
Well said.
Some of you feel the need to oppress others through your bans. I can think of a few things I'd like to say to that. Like, I'm free and you don't own public areas. Others will be left out in the sake of time and taste.
Think of all the doctors you'll see when you have cancer.
If every smoker got cancer there would be a ridiculous increase the cancer rate right now.
What's that they say? Half a million die from smoking related illness… But only 140,000 American smokers die from cancer a year…
I don't care if people smoke, but just as they have the right to choose whether to smoke or not, others should have the right to not have to inhale smoke when someone near them is smoking.
What about the people that don't want to inhale carbon monoxide? Should we ban all forms of fuel burning as well?
You have the right to walk the other direction when I'm smoking.
what type of smoking
