Hi!
Still liking my Dodocase. The iPad is quite snug. I have only removed/replaced a few times, however.

On mine, the adhesive used on the tabs allowed the edges to come up from the bamboo. [The edges on the facing sides of the corners, or facing up when flat.] I just used a small amount of adhesive to glue them back down. I used a small amount of polyurethane, but I would think a small amount of a clear acrylic or silicone caulk would do the same. If you use a small enough amount it does not show anywhere.

Same here. Contemplating on using regular white school glue to glue down the tabs.

I haven't removed mine since I got it 2 days ago. It's rock solid and from pics I have seen of earlier dodos I think the corner pads on later models look much more solid and sturdy

:)

I really like mine. It is loose in terms of holding it upright and upside down that the top of the iPad would slip out. So it's not uber tight. But I'd never hold it like that anyway and when moving around and not in use (iPad off), the cover would protect the screen. I wouldn't use the case when in bed though as it would be a little more bulky than I'd like so it's good that I can take it out without too much of a hassle. I'll keep an eye out for wear and tear as I use it though. I ordered June 1st and received it earlier this week.

Some glue may be all you need to keep foam parts in though as they come off. One of my corners was 'loose' when it came in...

But again, I really like it and it is SOOOO unique!

My DODOcase arrived yesterday. Slight issue regarding the fit which wasn't as snug as I'd have liked. The bamboo had starting 'bowing', which is easily fixed by applying some light pressure. Full credit to their customer support, they are awesome.

Kudos to USPS as my case arrived in perfect condition, which I was not expecting at all due to the nature of the product and international shipping.

One week in and two of the foam pads lifted slightly. I used a drop of super glue on each which sorted out the problem. Apart from that I love the case. It feels perfect in the hand.

My DODO case arrived on Friday, July 16th! (It was ordered on June 4th.) Overall, the case is very well made and feels very sturdy in the hand. The bamboo and faux leather smells great too. My ipad fits very tightly. In fact, it takes a bit of prying to get it out. I also love the look of the case. It is first edition; 2nd printing.

After using it a couple of days, however, I miss the ability to fold back the cover completely to read on the ipad and find it difficult to hold the ipad with only my left hand in portrait orientation (while typing something quickly with my right hand), which is my preferred way of using my ipad. So, although I love the look of the case, I have reluctantly decided to part with it.

If anyone is interested, please send me a PM. $40 + shipping; paypal only.

Received the used Dodo I bought from 0s and 1s over the weekend. Seems to be a really nice case, but I too can see how the cover not folding over all the way could make some users not like it. Just figure it's something I'll have to get used to if I decide to make it my main iPad case.

Another thing I hadn't noticed until I actually started using it, the Dodocase turns a lot more heads while I'm out in the public on my daily commute. The red inner cover is a real eye catcher. That might not be such a good thing if you're trying to keep a low profile with your Pad while out and about.

Over all it seems to be a quality product. Highly recommended.

Yup, the thing is VERY discrete like a paper notepad until you open it, then EVERYONE looks, and when they realise it is not a notepad but an iPad, they KEEP on looking!

I think that they are brand new on the scene-their Facebook and Twitter accounts are new and if you do a search on the company, very little comes up yet. I only came across them thru an Ebay auction- guy was selling his only because he wanted a different color combination from what he ordered. It looks like they could really give Dodo some stiff competition- especially with the options and price range.

I placed an order with Dodo last night, but I might be canceling it...!

The Treegloo case is rally nice, but the wooden frame seems thicker than the dodocase. Can anybody confirm that?

I love the fact that I can customize my case and the microfibre sude frame is lovely. Especially with red microfibre. But I cant see if the frame holds the ipad in place at the site. They really need a video where they explain the case.

Does anyone know how long the waiting is for the Treegloo?

Please make a review on this case if anyone buys this case. And pictures are very welcome ;-)

I have an order on the dodocase, but I just might go for the Treegloo case instead.

I've had my dodocase 5 weeks now - and never taken my ipad out of it!

It took a while to get to London but its faultless and pretty tough. Gets admiring crowds whenever I take it out. I even had people taking pictures of it while on holiday in Aruba a couple of weeks back :)

Best case ever! (IMHO) ;-)

I'm really looking forward to get my dodocase, but the six weeks waiting time is killing me.

I ordered my the 2th of August and it will arrive mid September. Its insanely long time. But I'll better hold in there ;-)

Updates from DODOcase

Hi everyone, Craig from DODOcase here. Thanks for all the great comments. Just a couple things to add, the wait is rapidly dropping to get a DODOcase. We are now down to 3-4 week for new orders and hope to finally have inventory in stock in September for instant shipping. Sorry for those of you who have had to wait longer, but the response has been overwhelming for our product (remember we make them in San Francisco not China!).

Many of you know we updated our corner pad material from EVA Foam to rubber. The new rubber corner pads can replace your older pads if you are having any issue. They are harder and tackier so they will hold more securely and last longer. They are on all new cases that shipped this month and you can order replacements by emailing 'thenest@dodocase.com'

We are working on adding a bunch of features and products to the website. Please check back with us in early September for some new updates on our plans. As always, we are active on Twitter (DODOsays) and Facebook so feel free to follow us there for more frequent updates.

On behalf of our SF based team - THANKS!

@DODOcraig

You guys haven't updated your facebook profile with delivery status since Friday. Please do so.

Thanks...

Will there be a cost associated for the replacement corners? My foams have completely detached from the bamboo...

I've been a Dodo-sceptic from day one, much as I've wanted to like it. But can I ask, why are those who are ditching them for alternative cases doing so? After a few weeks of real world use, what's the verdict?

I've had mine for a while now and have been using it less and less recently. The main reason for that is I got a Jadu Skadoosh stand for use at work and need to have the iPad out of a case to use it. With the way the corners have bee holding up, I didn't fancy removing the iPad from the case twice a day so I went back to my Booq Boa sleeve for weekday use and use the Dodocase at weekends.

Also in the last few weeks I've been getting a few more apps for my 2 year old daughter to use. I've been a little reluctant to let her use the iPad in the Dodocase so have bought an Otterbox Defender for the ultimate in toddler protection.

I got the revised corners for the Dodocase on Monday so may well go back to using it since I don't have to worry about the corners wearing out any more and I do love the aesthetic. If I don't get more use out of it you may see it up for sale elsewhere ;)
