Does anyone have an iPhone 5s that doesn't rattle?

There isn't anything rattling in iPhone camera lens ....

The rattle is subtle and it's here, but it has nothing to do with the camera lens.

Annoyed

My iphone has the same loose power botton which makes my phone rattle but when I hold the the power botton is still rattles should I be worried?

No, because it's not the button itself bit something below it.
Every single iPhone 5s I checked makes that sound.

All my 5 iphone 5s's rattled, and may say its not a problem but on a apple forum a person said it was verified by apple chat support that it was a problem and would get replacement. see below:

You have a 1 year manufactures warranty. A rattle is a defect. Return it.

Ours rattled out of the box and we are getting new ones delivered tomorrow.

Apple chat support verified they are not supposed to rattle.

You can return everything at Apple, it's their policy.
But if you are going to receive a refurbished with the same rattle sound, what is the point in returning it ?

Just got my 5s gold...the lock/power button rattle was so loud it made me jump this morning when I put it in my pocket as I thought the phone was turning on or something had broken. I shook it a little and found that the sleep/wake button was loose and banging the edges when shook.

So I got to thinking...I just got my Spigen Tough Armor Case...I was eating and Organic Apple and before I bit into the apple, I removed the Organic sticker that they put on the skin...

Did some more thinking and removed the Case on my 5S (as it did not remove the rattle), took the edible apple sticker and folded it over onto itself lengthwise so that the sticky side was out, placed it over the lock button, put the case back on and Viola...no rattle.

Just saying, sometimes an elegant solution is right there in your refrigerator...peace.

Of course this only works if you have a case...and an Apple... ;)

If the rattle is so loud you can hear it while putting in your pocket, well, I think it worths a return.

The sound on mine is so subtle you have to take it very near to your ear to hear it.

Decided to buy a new phone!

Three units tested all have the loose button. All were Week 1 2014, C3 China

Grey 64GB

Also there seems to have been too much confusion with some people in this thread. Sure some part of the camera is meant to have movement and may rattle. And loose battery connections people have also stated caused rattle. I think this issue with the power button though is caused by a button that is so loose you can wiggle it with your finger and see the movement.

Does anyone have an iPhone 5s that doesn't rattle?

At this point I have now shaken about 15 various iPhones 5 and above (mostly 5s) from various friends, co workers, family, ect. NONE OF THEM RATTLE AT ALL!! In fact every single person thought I was absolutely nuts! I had them all shake and listen themselves for any rattle (in case my ears are going bad) and still no rattle. I again strongly feel that they should NOT be rattling! Someone in this thread said that they heard theirs rattle when they put it in their pocket and it was so loud it made them jump!! Really guys ?? I mean let's get real about this. There are no parts with enough mass in the phone to even cause a rattle so loud that it scares you and causes you to jump. If your REALLY having these issues I would exchange your phone ASAP, get your ears checked, and not be so damn whiney!

Well I've checked over 150-160 now, and all of them have a subtle rattling sound EXCEPT ONE.

Not loud at all, very subtle, but the rattle is present on every single one I checked in 6 different Apple Stores except the Gold one I bought three days ago.

OK new rule for the thread to prevent confusion...

Don't even talk about rattles unless you can wiggle the power button with your finger.

my first one did, had it replaced as there was a bubble/ mark under bottom edge of screen, new one has solid power button which protrudes from the top phone casing much more.

5S's with with power buttons that do not rattle DO EXIST but it would appear that they are rare which should not be the case, i'm holding onto my 5s!!

All I can say is since I got my 5s about two weeks ago is that I shake, rattle and roll. Not the phone. What a nice piece of kit. :D
