People, if you received an email, you're phone will be there waiting for you.

If Apple.com doesn't show your reservation right now, I wouldn't sweat it until at least a couple days before launch day. It's going to take a while for it to catch up to yesterday's craziness.

Print your email and bring it with you, it's your golden ticket. Oompa Lumpa's sold seperately.:D

The problem is that screenshots and email printouts can be easily forged. It needs to in THIER system or they just won't give you one.

You have to select the store at which you made your reservation, then follow the steps to sign in and check your current reservations.

But again, I wouldn't freak out if you received the email confirmation yet it doesn't show on the site. Hell, I wouldn't even trust the store employee that tells you it's cancelled. Their entire system is still playing catch up.

Normally I would agree with you. But the thing that was weird for me is that it DID show up on the Apple store app and then disappeared when it was "canceled." That's how I knew something was screwed up.

I reserved mine thru the apple app store my reservation shows up there and I also got a email from them. But when I log on there it says I have no reservations.... hmmmmmmmm?

The "Reservations" that you can check on the specific Apple Store sites using your Apple ID relate to Concierge services, i.e. Genius Bar, Personal Shopping, Workshops and Business Consultations. NOT to reserved products. These are a different thing.
If you have an email saying they'll reserve you one, that is all you need to worry about.

1. Well I just called my local Apple store to confirm my reservation and they said my reservation was canceled!!! I'm so angry right now and waiting for a call back from the store manager.

2. I received a confirmation email and I let the woman on the phone know that. I'll let you guys know what happens when the manager calls me later today.

3. Well I just got back from the Apple store and I spoke to the store manager. She said there was a glitch in their system and she is aware of it. She mentioned it has happened to a bunch of people already including a few store employees.

The manager was very nice and said she will be there at 5 am on the 24th and will honor ANYBODY who has a confirmation email of their reservation. She did, however, mention that I should try and get there by 10am as she can't guarantee there will be enough stock for everyone who did have a reservation.

Lastly, she said there will be two lines, one for people who reserved and one for everyone else. As long as you have your email (or you're in the system) you will be able to stay on the reserve line and you will get a phone from the reserve stock. Hope that helps.

That helps VERY much! Thanks for verifying things. Between this and seeing my reservation via the Apple store app, I am fine now. I will definitely be there way before 7am on the 24th.

Mine says the same thing, but when I check the apple store iPhone app my reservation clearly shows up as:

Pickup - iPhone 4 32GB : Black

Further, I have had reservations in the past for the genius bar and it still says I have no past reservations. I wouldn't worry about it too much - I'm pretty sure the pickup reservation differs from a concierge or genius bar reservation.

That reservation system seems to be for Genius Bar appointments and the like. Did iPad and prior iPhone pre-orders show up there before?

there is no point in getting paranoid over this, the phone is either going to be there or it isn't. any assurances from a store manager or store employee really won't mean much. if you got your confirmation e-mail then expect a phone, if you get there and they don't have one for you it isn't the end of the world, i'm sure they will be more than happy to set aside one from the next shipment. yes it sucks if you don't get one on launch even though you reserve it but not that big a deal, getting a phone on day 2 isn't going to make the iphone 4 any less of phone

I just spoke to an apple store employee over the phone and he told me as long as you received an email verification for a reservation than you have one whether it shows up in upcoming appointments or not.

The Apple store employee you spoke to is clueless. Ask him to check his list to confirm you are on it!

Trust me, I feel you, it's nerve wracking when stuff doesn't add up. But your store manager apparently aggrees with me :D

Going to be stopping by my local store today, email in hand, just to make sure. I guess worst case scenario is that they reserve one for me right then and there since I assume they are getting more then enough to cover plenty of non-reservers as well.

They give me any **** and I say "Look, what part of me having 2 iPods, an iPhone, an iPad, a Mac Mini, and a 27" iMac makes you wonder wheter or not you should figure out some way to reserve an iPhone for me on the 24th?"

iPhone 4 Order Cancelled

So I called my local apple store because of this thread and my order was cancelled as well. I got an email at 7:01am yesterday confirming my order however, my order was showing cancelled in their system.

They took my name and phone number and are trying to get to the bottom of what happened.

"See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to *hold* the reservation and that’s really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them."

Not true, she acknowledged there was a glitch in their system causing the cancellations. She even said that she can't GUARANTEE the reservations for that reason. What she DID say is that as long I get there on the early side, she should be able to take care of me and people in my situation.

For those who say their orders have been canceled are they showing up on the apple store app? Mine is showing up there so I'm assuming mine wasn't canceled?

How is that not what I said? lol

This is whats happening for me. I reserved yesterday. Received the e-mail yesterday. No pricing was in the e-mail.

- Its not showing up online
- Its showing up in the Apple Store app
- I called my local Apple Store and they said I was on the list for the 24th

So, 24th, it is.

Thanks for saying that. I was getting nervous not seeing my reservation online. Then this morning the apple store app worked for me and saw the reservation there. Now, all I want is for today to be next Thursday! :D

B/c you said...

The system isn't playing catch up b/c my order WAS there and now it's not. The manager I spoke with was aware of the glitch as was Apple corporate so I DO trust her. I would recommend calling your local Apple store to confirm you're still on the reserve list and if not, work something out with the store manager!

Not True! I received an email and called my local apple store to double check and indeed mine was cancelled.

you guys do realize that the app store and the apple employee at a retail store is pulling the reservation information from the same system right? so if you see your reservation in the app you don't need to call them, they aren't looking at some special list that we don't see, all they are doing is pulling the same list up and looking for your name which is all the app is doing
