Does bhphoto usually get a good supply ?

Not for delivery, for in-store pickup. If you check in the morning/early afternoon, you should find a bunch of stores with availability. I’m in NY and I found most stores had the SSW in 44mm.

I’m in NYC, and when I ordered mine on Saturday, at least 6 out of the 10 stores nearest me had the SS in stock. The only stores that didn’t were the ones in more rural areas, but they might have had the aluminum ones, I didn’t check.

I just read through a few replies in this thread, and people in other states had the exact same experience as me. Check your stores early tomorrow morning.

I did the same thing. I cancelled TWO SS watches through B and H and purchased at Apple instead. I wasted an extra $130 on sales tax.

The bottom line is that I have no idea when BH will get these in stock. I also like the flexibility of being able to exchange immediately in-store if something goes wrong.
 
I canceled by B&H order and decided to pick one up from the Apple Store instead. The Apple Store I went to doesn’t charge sales tax, so I ended up still saving on taxes as well. :p

Sticking to my guns and just waiting on the B&H. Been a hold out on apple watch in general, while I know it will be beneficial for me, I'm not dying to get the new tech, and prefer the no tax purchase. Anyone here have a leather loop band from apple? That's the last thing I'd need to see in person before purchasing.

What Apple store doesn’t charge sales tax?

Guys keep canceling. I’ll get moved up in the front of the line.
 
I placed an order with B&H since they don't charge (allegedly) til product is available. No estimated date of ship, no idea what their supply was going to be like when the watch was released, and I gave up on them. While perusing Best Buy's site after release date late on Sunday night, I saw their availability go from "more coming soon" to "available to ship Sept 26" and I ordered from them. For context, a 44mm gold SS with sport band. I canceled my B&H order right quick, AND, my watch arrived a day early. This happened to me last year where Best Buy's stock was better than any other retailer when series 3 came out. Keep checking their site because their inventory changes rapidly.
 
Since I ordered the Nike band I'm keeping my B&H order for now, if nothing happens after the official release date I may consider cancelling but for now I wait.....;)
 
How long do you think Best Buy & B&H will sell AW4 at reduced prices? (eg. $429 for 44mm)
Probably only for the duration of preorders and up until Nike+ version gets released on Oct 5? Then I suppose all watches will go back to their normal prices?

I don't think so. I've always seen B&H has the same Apple prices

Oh wait, my bad. For some reason I thought the price for 44mm was supposed to be $459 and that B&H had them at $30 discount for the time being, having been misled by EU prices, which are 459 EUR...
 
Latest update suggest they might not ship until the end of this week:
