I got a “still out of stock” email from them yesterday for my 44 ss white sports band. I assume it’s just an automated thing since they are still on vacation. Hoping it ships this week so I can be done with this and not order from them again.

Yeah I'm really hoping my 44mm SS ships out this week even though it says backordered. I imagine a lot of people have cancelled their orders so there should be a good chance. I still can't get over this weeklong holiday thing shutting down the entire company.

B&H have always closed for Jewish holidays. It was posted on their website weeks before it happens.

I’m preordered the same model too but didn’t get any email. Strange.

I have been dealing with B&H for 20+ years and they have always closed for “their” religious holidays.

Sorry you think that is weird. They have done it year after year.

Not looking for an apology and I think many people would be surprised to hear that a large "superstore" closes for religious holidays for over a week at a time. It's a bizarre thing that isn't encountered in day to day life, especially in the current age of amazon and the like. Not hard to understand why it's a jarring concept for some and it's enough to drive people away (which this thread and others demonstrate). Nothing else to say about it.

There was no mention of this holiday when I placed my order. I don't mind them closing for one day, but if they know they are closing for 10 whole days, then they should have placed a banner prior to them accepting orders for the new Apple watches.

I will say it was not hard to cancel my order with them - which is good of them. I have no issue with them closing for whatever reason they choose, but I do wish they had not implied that they would start shipping out on Sept 21.

Right. And that's the issue.

Still, I wait.

Also got the backordered email from them, and also hoping it was just an automated thing. We'll find out in a couple of days. I've waited this long..., may as well wait a tad longer.

There are five states that do not charge sales tax: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon.

Well, they don't charge statewide sales tax but there can still be local sales tax. For example there are definitely local sales taxes inside Alaska.

Got the backordered email yesterday too for 40mm SS. Ordered 40 minutes after open. Hopefully they'll get a shipment of SS. Otherwise I'll wait.

Order from abt. They don’t charge taxes either. I ordered my 44mm space black stainless steel watch (sport band) yesterday and already got shipping notification that it’s on its way!

Just looked on their website for the one I ordered from B&H and it says “coming soon.” Seems like the stock on these Silver SS models is really low everywhere

Thanks. It looks like they are on Apple's list of Authorized Resellers, which is a bonus.

I guess this whole no-tax out of state thing is going to come crashing down with the latest Supreme Court ruling. Enjoy it while it lasts!

When you placed your order B&H did not know how long Aplle would take to get them stock.

Tell them you want you money back, they will gladly refund.

You can bet the B&H is not going to apologize for it religious practices. It is one of the best companies of this kind and they will gladly refund your money and cancel your order.

Once again not looking for an apology and not sure why you keep missing the point. People don't like a place they order from to be closed for over a week. It's not complicated. Nobody here is freaking out about it, simply an annoyance and some have cancelled and some haven't, not a big deal.

Not me missing the point! Best of luck!

It appears they're now also back ordered 2-4 weeks (it says on their site) for 44mm SS black with sport band. Maybe you guys bought up all their stock :D
