Does bhphoto usually get a good supply ?

Finally submitted my refund after 2 weeks. Understand the holiday but this should be something automated especially if they charge in full at the time of order
Agreed. To be honest, B&H just doesn’t seem to be equipped for big preorders like this. I’ve bought a graphics card from them before, no problem, great experience. But for this kind of thing they just aren’t capable of carrying out well.
I just got my refund from b&h today on paypal. I actually did not realize it had not already been refunded. I cancelled my order with them on 9/22.
I think the problem was they took a bunch of orders and Apple could not deliver.
What spot on the waitlist? Like, you wanted to know if you were number 1794 on the list? What would the number even matter?
Yeah I wanted to know how far down I was haha. I was just trying to get some idea of when I’d be getting it. I asked them if we were talking days, weeks, or months and they really didn’t give me anything.
If you are number 20 on the list as opposed to 1750 it would probably mean you'd get it as soon as their first batch comes in. If one were to estimate that a first batch was only 1500 devices, and your spot was 1750, then you could theoretically have to wait for a second batch of orders to come in which could be another 2 week wait, etc. It is not hugely significant, but certainty worth noting
Considering he ordered on launch day though I'd assume he'll get first batch regardless, so not super useful for him, but would be for me since I ordered several days later. Either way I'm fine with waiting.

At this point with all those email questions you probably just look like a problem customer, so they are not going to be especially helpful. Just being honest lol
Also they may be partially bitter because of the fact that they didn't get stock as soon as expected; maybe it's their operations guy's fault. Who knows.
I actually ordered on the 19th, but there was a period where they weren’t accepting orders until the night of the 19th and I got it right when they started accepting them. I’ve been very kind to them, thanking them for their time and stuff, and they’ve been as helpful as they are allowed to be. It hasn’t really been the interrogation you’re imagining

It's been so long since I've ordered that I almost forgot about this thing. Makes it more exciting this way, more of a pleasant surprise
You'll probably end up getting it around the same time as anyone else since they appear to have only just gotten their stock a few days ago anyway.
Mine finally shipped as of this morning! I think it was free 2 day shipping, but NY to VA is 1 day shipping either way. I'm guessing I got early stock of SB from them, despite ordering several days after launch.
Happy for you! Mines still backordered of this morning but it’s silver SS. I also ordered well after the launch date. Seeing them starting to get stock on the other models is a good sign, though.
I ordered 12:01am launch day, - a 40mm SS for my missus, and the 44mm SS for me. Still backordered. Gave up caring (life too short), and picked up a 44mm at the local Apple Store a couple of days ago when they had stock for about 4 seconds. I then cancelled the 44mm at B&H, but the 40mm is still in my order - and still backordered.
If the Apple Stores near me restock the 40mm SS, I'll get it there, but no need to cancel the B&H order until that time.

i ordered from them on day 1, and was totally annoyed that they didn't provide an ETA, closed for 2 weeks, didn't refund my money for 2 weeks, and was unavailable for two weeks. they could've hired non-religious people to handle affairs during the jewish holiday, and there's no excuse for ignoring customers for so long. i ended up just buying the watch from the apple store but i had to drive many hours to get it.
