You are assuming they didn’t receive stock. I can’t believe they wouldn’t have gotten any. Best Buy did, for example.

They just aren’t shipping because of Succot. Whether they have stock on hand is undetermined. We will find out tomorrow.

Just as I thought, there is STILL no stock sent to B&H.

Why can you not believe they did not get any, the Stainless is in very short supply and it looks like it will be that way for a while.

Just as you guessed, you mean. And it was a guess. This doesn't come as a surprise, but again - they're just starting to ship things for the first time in over a week. I'm sure there's a backlog.

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here, in any case. B&H did screw up, with lack of communication and an implication they would ship on the 21st. I know my order said that it starts shipping on the 21st, and only later did it switch to a backorder.

Agreed, in the same boat. Lesson learned, I suppose. Nothing else to do but wait at this point.
 
I also preordered with B&H on 9/14 and expected 9/21 shipping as stated on website. It did not say ETA as stated in email discussion with B&H below. After the discussion below I did cancel my order and found a SS at a local Apple store using Istocknow. I just received a refund today to my PayPal account after cancelling a week ago. They did state 5 to 6 business days to get refund. I have purchased items from B&H before and been happy, so that is why I ordered from them this time. As everyone is stating Lesson Learned, never again. Poor communication.

I did agree to the PayPal immediate payment based on your website stating a 9/21 ship date. Not some date in the unknown future which was not stated.

I think the aforementioned salt n vinegar chips, some popcorn and soda, AND nachos (no maybes). I mean, we're going through some serious first-world problems here, so we deserve a good selection.

If the person above has been informed correctly, hopefully tomorrow we'll see some movement. Then we can still eat all the snacks, because reasons.
 
I ordered my Apple Watch from B&H Photo at 3:01 am September 14. I paid with ApplePay and was charged right then. I called customer service once over a week ago because I thought I might have to go out of town and I wanted to peg down when they thought I’d get it. I was told shipments would start October 1.

Well, when they closed for the holiday I thought that October 1 was not realistic. I just called them today. The gist from them is that they have no idea. They have no stock. I inferred that they never received anything from Apple. He was going to have his Apple purchaser email me when they knew more but he couldn’t even say when they might know more. He actually said, ‘we’d hate to lose your business but if you can find it elsewhere we’d understand.’ Even if they charged you, they will refund/reverse the charge as long as they have not shipped the item.

Basically if you want the watch sooner rather than later (perhaps much later), create an iStock notification for the model you want. The Apple stores seem to get more in every few days. Wait for the notification (saves you from compulsively checking every 5 minutes), then immediately purchase it for store pickup on your phone through the Apple Store app.

My order was the 44 Aluminum WiFi with sports band. Your mileage may vary.

I ordered a Silver SS 40mm with white band, but look at his statement. The ETA that they expect it is 10/4 and on a later post he says ETA’s are not guarantees and can change. I hope they come in for everyone that preordered and I would hope that BH realizes how misleading the 9/21 shipping date was. They really should offer some kind of compensation to everyone that preordered under that premise and is still waiting.

Sorry I should have mentioned that I ordered around 5am on 1st day of preorder.

You guys realize that the "E" in ETA is estimated, right? If it were firm, it would be GTA or "guaranteed time of arrival"

Yes I realize ETA is estimated time of arrival, but when we preordered it said “shipping 9/21”. There was no mention of ETA.

I replied asking again if they had any idea when they’d get stock, and they said they didnt have any concrete information.
