You’re applying your own needs to everyone else’s, which makes your take shallow. The iPhone 17 base is a solid phone, but dismissing the Pro and Pro Max as “not worth it” ignores why they exist—people want ProMotion displays, titanium build, bigger batteries, advanced cameras with ProRAW/ProRes, and the headroom of the A19 Pro chip. Telling creators to “just buy a real camera” completely misses the point: they want professional-grade tools in their pocket. The 17 base is great value, but acting like the Pro models have no purpose is delusional.
Promotion is on the 17 base now bro, and yes you can't fit a camera in you pocket but professionals are using many others tools like a drone... And that you cannot fit into your pocket...

Also the iPhone doesn't have a bad cam but you will get way better by getting a real cam. You won't be limited to a 12mp 8x zoom for example...

Don't buy the new iPhone 17!!!

Also, the iPhone 17 is a decent upgrade, you should consider buying it.
yea...i hope this end, he cannot make up his own mind
But if he gives me iphones 17 money not to buy the Air or Pro...i will consider it otherwise is begging for attention topic

Just always ask yourself the question:
Is this what you want, or what a company is trying to convince you you might want?

Take the new camera, for example:
The cameras on the iPhone 17 Pro are objectively worse than those on the iPhone 16 Pro. Macro mode uses 2x digital zoom, and the “8x optical zoom” is a combination of 4x optical zoom and a whole more AI. So objectively, when you use the 8x zoom, you're using a camera sensor that's only half the size of the one in the iPhone 4 from 2010. In other words, the iPhone 4 will take better pictures without zoom than the iPhone 17 Pro with 8x zoom.

So the question:
Do you want what you buy, or do you want what the advertising promises you?

So here we are after the release of 4 new iPhones…

Ragebait duly considered, I shall go ahead and place my pre-order for an iPhone 17 Pro. A nice upgrade from my 13 Pro.

I mean, I was going to hold onto my 13 for another year, but given your compelling post it would be daft not to upgrade now.

If you get the 17 base I don't complain but the 17 pro hmmmm 500 extra CAD for a little bit?

Yeah guys I think I will get a camera at this point (and maybe another post get a camera instead of an iPhone)
