Downloaded it and it's great. Font rendering still sucks compared to Safari but it's faster and has way better functionality. Now, how do you transfer bookmarks from Safari to Fx?

Go to File and select Import. And then select Safari and choose what you want to import.

jut use cmd++ to full page zoom, much easy to read if the font bothers you alot.

I think you might need to export bookmark from safari first. I think firefox only presents importing option at first run....
Does anyone really even like Firefox 3.0? I have to say, it still seems so clunky compared to Safari.

looks is very easy to change. There is one that dress up firefox just like safari. Sorry i can't give you link now since the server is quite busy and I can't connect...

You'd think so, using basic logic, that would not be the case. But it is.

You need to remember though, they are doing this to officially get into the Guinness World Record book.

I got it. I lost a lot of my bookmarks, for some reason. It seemed to pick my bookmarks from a file that was months old. Looks alright for now, although I never had a problem with how 2.0 looked. I just have to wait now for Adblock to be updated.

I included the link from http://blog.mozilla.com/.
If you speak a different language and want the browser in a different language go to the main page and CHOOSE your own language.

There is no reason for you to belittle me and speak disrespectfully.

And in response to your question, I really like FF3. I like Safari a lot as well but I prefer FF3 currently.

can you point me in the direction of something which shows that we have to download specifically from that page to be counted for the World Record attempt? I very much doubt that is the case as it would be completely retarded thing to do.

Isn't it interesting that if this is an 'Official Release' that the main Mozilla US site still has only 2.0 available. And, if it's official, then why doesn't the 'Check for Updates' in the Beta/RC version of 3.0 tell you there is an Update available?

Apparently the world record "day" started at 10am PDT (an hour or so ago).

They're going to have a tough time setting that record if their servers can't handle the traffic...

Hmm. I clicked the link, downloaded the disk image, and installed what turned out to be Release Candidate 3.

Same here! At spreadfirefox.com there's a note saying "Please download Firefox 3 by 17:00 UTC on June 18, 2008. That's 10:00 a.m. in Mountain View, 1:00 p.m. in Toronto, 2:00 p.m. in Rio de Janeiro, 7:00 p.m. in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Rome and Warsaw, 9:00 p.m. in Moscow, and June 19, 2008 at 1:00 a.m. in Beijing and 2:00 a.m. in Tokyo."

Hmmm at this rate be quicker to get 3.0 RC3 and enjoy it till the update comes out.

There is actually quite a useful post on he Mozilla Blog:

"The outpouring of interest and enthusiasm around Firefox 3 has been overwhelming (literally!). Our servers are currently feeling the burn and should be back to normal shortly. Download day will officially commence once the site goes live. The 24 hours period will be clocked from that moment. Thanks for your continued support."

Seems to me, my RC2 was updated to RC3 automagically, and now I seem to just have 3.0 with no other interaction on my part.

FWIW, it's far more porntastic than 2.0x :)
