However, these problems do NOT prevent Apple from communicating correctly towards online customers (all stores), Apple stores, resellers, independent dealers, etc. I simply cannot understand that for example you call Apple for an explanation, you can get two different ones from different persons!? That's ridiculous, their external communication needs to improve drastically, but their internal system as well. I for one, have no real trouble with the delays itself, but it's the way it is handled by Apple. Some of you guys got set back up to 4 times, sure you received compensation, but that shouldn't be necessary if they targeted your date in an appropriate timeframe, not 1 month delay or more. I ordered through a reseller, that means I have no ETA, cause the reseller knows nothing as well, and I simply cannot demand compensation of any kind.
That's one thing, the other thing is their 'random' shipping to customers. I'm fron the benelux (belgium) and I believe that falls under Apple Benelux, so I'd think the netherlands and belgium are treated the same. I know of a guy who ordered online at the apple store the 19th of august. Well, guess what, he received his machine the 30th of august. An 11 day waitnig period! Can you believe that? While people ordering from apple 2 MONTHS earlier still don't have theirs.
My nephew, who's no switcher YET, will be at school in 2 weeks, studiying audio and video. That school bought a bunch of g5's last year, and I was always making fun of the fact I would be fooling around with a g5 a lot earlier than he could.. Guess I'll be slapped in the face over this one
okay..thx for the vent guys, hope you don't mind, I didn't offend anyone here, just expressed my feelings at the moment.
Klaus, you hit the nail on the head. You can send this to apple belgium, I am curious to hear their response.
