This is excellent news but also sucks big time, if the plane only had 500 on it that means most of us are not getting a new MAC anytime soon AND if this is the best apple can do we could be in for a long summer ... starting to feel real bad about this whole thing now.
 
No Website Update

Apple have yet to update their website with the now shipping logo ... Hmmm :rolleyes: and if you go to buy one it says 4-6 weeks, which is less than what some people here are going to have to wait even though they ordered theirs the day they were released.....

You know what "maybe" the FedEx pilot is keeping them and selling them on EBAY?? OK i'll check and let you know what I find ! :eek: :)

Don't get your hand in the leaking coolant, it may be toxic, and could make for a nasty rash... :p

Oh, and thanx for your offer, but I must decline. I'm having enough fun staring at my 17 inch KDS monitor, JBL Invaders, and two 512MB Ramsticks from OWC. Sometimes, I turn on the Invaders and watch the green LED on the subwoofer!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeee! :D
 
Damn, FedEx...can you update your web status already...and give us some more info on the possible delivery date. This tension and stale mate is making me sick...or is that the leaking coolant.

P.S. There is one thing you are missing yet though. A Western Digital Raptor 10,000RPM hard drive. This thing absolutely screams! I fully boot to desktop in under 30 seconds! :)

So is it the graphics cards that are slowing our G5s? Or just slow production the the units themselves? I upgraded to the 9800XT, with bluetooth. I just want my computer, have a new 23" sitting next to me. Damn you apple!!!!!!

If that is the case then mine should have been one of the first to ship. As it is, it has not shipped, and I am stuck with 8/20. There must be some other reason...
 
Combo woes

I agree.... I've been combing the post looking for a reason for my 6/9 edu order not shipping yet and the only common variable is the combo drive. I placed my order simultaneously with a coworker and his is in transit. The difference is the combo (and he opted for the 9800XT... bastage has his own grant $$ to blow). I supopose its my fault for messing w/ the base config for a whopping 90 buck "savings", but I truly did not think that it would push me back 3 wks minimum.
 
OK, We all seen the dual 2.5 June 27th. Right ? August 3rd and no signs of shipping. Just might as well wait for the Dual 3gig machine in January. OH, but then you would still have to wait until April 2005 to get em. Sorry, Dumb idea. Just wait for the 2.5 :mad: There shouldn't be any happy users HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to see what the ship date would be I tried to fill out their membership etc. but got an error before I got to the final page.

...anyway there'll be 3ghz Macs in September according to macosrumors. <place sarcasm emoticon here>

Still Nothing!!

Still no news from Apple on my order! That whole thing about shipping in the order recieved is a bunch of bull.
 
One thing I have noticed (please correct me if I'm wrong) is that no orders have "shipped" with the bluetooth option. Mine included. Maybe that's the problem?
