ok guys this isn't funny. I can't find the alt key. How can press ctr+alt+del without an alt key.
sorry I am new, I had to do it.
the option key is the alt key.
and on a mac, in case you have to force quit a program, press apple-option-esc
apple also equals to "command" you also may find it very handy to learn all the shortcuts used in the finder! they are very easy to learn (unlike windows)
for example
apple-q = Q uit program
apple-w = close W indow
apple-s = S ave
apple n = N ew folder
apple backspace = move selected icons to trash
apple shift backspace = emty trash
and so on and on.. they are all in the menus right behind the command
most of them also come back in the apps
also: a thing that you have to know wich confused many windows switchers:
closing an apps window will not close the app. ( sometimes it does) quitting the app from the menu or pressing apple-q does!
as long as there is a little black triangle under your icon in the dock, that app is active
oh another nice one: alt-tab or option-tab swithces between apps pressing shift swithces the other way
