When I were your age, we only had Commodore Vic20s with 3k of RAM (expandable to a whopping 16k for the cost of a small second hand car) and then shortly afterwards, ZX Spectrums with 48K or RAM to play with!!!!!!

I obviously won't be getting mine today because it's still stuck in Idianapolis, IN for some reason. So looks like I won't be heading down south to LA in the afternoon because I have to wait for the package before I can leave. I live in an apt here Downtown SF and I've encountered FedEx people leaving "sorry we missed you" notes. So by being gone I'm afraid it will just bounce back to Apple after three days.
I would like to see pics of people who received theirs. That is of course after you guys are done playing with it.

I don't know if there's holdups, but hotwire was good to go with a stockcard, ram addon, and bluetooth.
I ordered 6-25 250HD/SD/BT/wireless Key&Mouse/stock ram & video card. Shipping date is the generic 8-20.

MacMall update
For those who may have ordered from MacMall, I just got some info from a guy there. He says they're receiving a shipment of 15 to 25 this Saturday and "the rest next week." I've been told they have 1200 on order, but I'm a bit doubtful that they will receive the full balance next week.
When I placed my order, I was told there were a little over 200 hundred on backorder so I don't expect to see mine for a while.

Just called FedEx Cust Service and asked the reason for the package being held at Indianapolis at the moment. She said it is delayed because there is a severe thunderstorm and the plane wasn't able to leave and would be held back until the storm clears in the area.
She couldn't promise a delivery for tomorrow, but was assuming it could be tom. Oh, well. There goes my waiting. No complaining here. What else can I do. A lot of people are still waiting for news, too.

thanks for the info Ge4-ce on the mac comands and what not. I should have pics up soon. I didn't know hotwire was only 15, I thought I was young (I am a 19 programmer). Hopefully everyone else gets there 2.5s soon.
So checked the weather at CNN and there were heavy rains yesterday in the Midwest. The reason why it wasn't able to leave perhaps last night. Today is cloudy going to sunny over the weekend. I wonder when the next plane will leave...just want to see it get moving again from yesterday's delay.

Lancetx, I wouldn't really know except for what she told me over the phone. But now the weird thing is Jacasey's had his shipped by 3.18am from Indianapolis heading to LA while the person on the other end just told me their plane was grounded due to the "severe weather condition."
In any case I'm glad Jacasey would be getting his today. I'm now thinking of heading to LA as originally planned. Oh well life goes on...just without my G5...sob sob.
