Early 2008 MacBook Pro Whispers

For lawls:

nvidia 7800 wont work
i bought one of these and tried putting in my dell dimension 2350. my friend said that the shiny metal part on the bottom looks like it has lines because you cut at the lines if it doesnt fit. so i carefully cut off the bottom so that it fit into 1 of the slot things in my computer. now it doesnt work. did i cut it wrong? id post pics, but no camera. is there anyway i can fix this? thanks for any help.

I'll be in computer labs all morning for lectures today so can keep up with the rumours and hopefully watch the site close, then I'll be home between 1PM and 3PM (during which the Apple UK Store is usually down) so will keep checking back to see if my new laptop appears :D
 
What time Tuesday will we know for certain? If I recall the returns appear 5am PST is this applicable to new products?

cool..me too. I was supposed to get mbpro this week .lucky i read this forum

we are now counting down for mbpro... 3.....2......1

i need to check out if apple store here provide any info
 
The introduction of the MacBook Air is arbitrary...it attracts people to Apple. What does Apple care if they sell MBP's instead of MBA's? They're still making money.

I heard that Monday is going to be skipped altogether for the rest of the year and that Tuesdays are now the new Mondays making Mondays the new Sundays I think Steve Jobs mentioned this in his keynote at MWSF.:p
 
I really thought they would wait until late Feb just to sell as many MBAs as possible before providing new temptations. But I wonder if the share plummet has forced their hand to upgrade and sell, so new MBPs tonight! [I hope].


If they just chuck a new processor in it I will be pretty disappointed.
 
I'm actually waiting for some kind of iMac update, but in the meantime I've been following this MBP thread. You guys have me so worked up I think I might go out and get a MBP if it comes out tomorrow. The heck with the iMac.

Don't we have lives? Does everyone else spend as much time reading these rumors as I do? I just want to spend my $ and be done with it.

Is it tuesday yet?
