And have posted almost 500 times about it without anyone actually seeing one. ;)

Did you order? or just request a pre-order email? For the rest of us, we requested a pre-order and then they sent out an email with instructions on how to order and you pay with PayPal so they would have your money if you really ordered.

I filled out the pre-reg form on the website but I never did get an email after that. I figured they would send it after you all received your orders. :D

Where do I stand? Shipping date that is.

Sorry, not in the mood of reading previous posts. Most of the posts on this thread are of the bickering variety.

No where, in my post you will see me telling you how to spend your money.

Reading is fundamental.

Pretty sure, that picture and the pictures on their website are just rendering of how it will look. I haven't seen actual photos..

That's more than likely a computer render, not a picture of the actual product.

One poster stated that he called earlier today and asked if it was a real photo or a render. The owner said it was a real picture. You can take that for what it is, but i'm more inclined to believe this guy than you just wanting to believe its not real. Real or not, I will say I agree more pics are needed for people on the edge to get a better idea of what this thing looks like.

I also still want to know if they offer an actual ALL black model...so far all their renders show silver/whatever color option.

Anyone?

Shipping date?

most likely late July. They pushed back deliveries because they purchased more machines to keep up with the demand that has obviously far exceeded what they imagined. Which is kind of strange when you think about it...Makes it sound like none of them have been produced yet...I wonder if they really will be able to get them out in July?

So they got more machines because of high demand... didn't they have any machines to start with???

It's actually great marketing and a great business model. I applaud a company that doesn't patronize banks to fund an unknown concept. This way they take in an enormous amount of cash on pre-orders and fund the purchase of machining equipment with cash not borrowed money. If more companies would do things like this we would not be in the financial boat we are currently in. By the way Vapor.....HURRY UP I WANT MY CASE!!!:D

I think it's highly likely that none of them have been produced yet. I say this because given the PR this case generated with its initial announcement, major sites should have received their review units by now. And if they had received them, for sure actual product shots and impressions of the case would be surfacing.

I also think it's clear that they are funding production with the preorder money. They have much as admitted that when they say on their website that product will begin shipping July 12 (!) but please allow two to three weeks for shipping. Since these are going out priority mail -- with two day delivery -- this suggests that they never intended that anyone receive units this early.

Bah. By the time this product comes I will have amassed a massive collection of cheesy make-do cases. And IF this ever arrives I shudder to think of what the returns process might be like if it doesn't meet expectations.

They need to be a little more forthcoming if you ask me!

I agree with you on every point. They used a old eBay scam model to gather preorders for a future ship date except instead of disappearing they used the money to determine their demand before ever starting production. Its the basic pull instead of push model.

My concerns are the lack of communication and the possibility of zero quality control checks due to extremely high demand. (apple and iphone4 anyone)

Preorder to fund a business by two people that have good design skills?

If they don't have enough bandwith to handle the hits it show they are not prepared for huge interest in their cases. They are probably at the mercy of CNC shop that is making there product. Since we have never seen it on an actually Iphone, I think they are working QA to make sure case lives up to the $80 price tag. All good things take time. I will only order case if I see a good review.

Here is a simple solution to your problem........don't buy one then.

If you are so concerned about all of this crap then don't put your money on the line and stop being a negative nancy. It's only $80. Not a big deal. If you people are spending $80 on this product and are worried about losing it because you won't be able to eat next week, then you shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

And to everyone else saying that this is almost half of what they paid for their phone.....you are confused. You are paying way more than the $199 or $299 you forked over at the start. AT&T is making back their money on these 6 and $700 phones no problem. You all clearly don't understand how subsidized phones work.

Half of the people in this thread aren't even ordering the product and they keep showing up to dog it. No one said that everyone had to like every case that comes out on the market. Or that everycase that goes up for sale has to be affordable by all. This is not the most expensive iPhone 4 case available. Look at Vaja. Everyone loves their product but it takes 2-3 months to get your order. Vaja made me wait 10 weeks to get my last case from them. I can deal with 4-6 weeks for this product.

And how exactly is that clear when they didn't ask for money upfront from people for the pre-order? lol

They asked ME for money!

I dont think they're a scam at all -- and the joule stand proves they make quality products. I just think they have been coy with production information and for the life of me I can't fathom why they have no actual pictures on their website.

And I'm just cranky overall with everything related to the iPhone these days.

And yes, vaja makes you wait forever too -- and collects your money up front too! -- and lies about how long customs will hold the package etc. But their quality is top notch and they have a loyal following.

But I personally have never been a patient person.

My whole attitude may change this afternoon if Apple's press conference goes well!

Your statement has no validity. I bought the case and did not care about spending $100 on a case for a $700 phone and never said I had a problem waiting for it. I simply stated facts about a company that has no transparency in their operations and in turn create a lot of negative customer feedback.

Please don't ever start your own business.

with cash and not borrowed money? can you take an elementary finance class please? when you finance your company with pre order money which isn't even legal, that is a helluva lot worse than borrowing from a bank.

Gah! For the love of mankind, enough with the silly arguments already. This thread keeps getting bumped for all the wrong reasons.

I think they probably intended to do some kind of just-in-time process model but grossly underestimated initial demand. It's hard to get started in that scenario.
