nope...i think you are confused thinking that the bumpers are still worth something despite apple rendering them valueless

Valueless? I have a bumper I bought for $30. If I wanted this case as well, I would need to spend a total of $110. However, now that Apple is essentially giving me $30, I now only need to spend $80 for BOTH cases.

The Video Game analogy as you described it isn't accurate, because I'm not returning my bumper and getting my money back. I'm keeping my bumper and getting my money back.

The Vapor case is still $80, but you have a free bumper. So whereas if my budget for cases was $30 and my first priority was the bumper, I can now keep the bumper and use the $30 I was going to spend on a bumper and use it for another case.

please, use the $30 thats coming back to you to enroll in some online economics courses.

thanks.

which is not even worth a penny because they are free now. so hes still even....

if your claim were true, i could check completed listings on ebay for apple bumpers find find exactly zero sold since jobs offered free bumpers. in order for something to hold absolutely zero value is if there is literally no market for it.

apple giving away a product for free does not render the product valueless.

Any 1st Batchers out there?

I doubt that anyone has received theirs yet. This email was sent out a few days ago.

Dear Vapor Pre Order customers,

Due to the successful launch of our new Vapor case, we have decided to increase our production output to three times that of normal capacity! This means that September pre orders will be shipped in August, and many August pre orders will ship in July.

We've purchased new equipment and will be halting production for a week or so to get set up.

While most people will be getting their cases sooner than planned, some July pre orders will be delayed during this transition. If you are one of these people, we sincerely apologize.

For questions, please read our FAQ's on the Vapor product page: http://elementcase.com/iphone4.html

For further inquiries, you can email us at: vapor@elementcase.com

Nope. lol

Ah I just had to fix my phone number format(no dashes). The case looks really nice and unlike the rubber/plastic thing I think will enhance the IP4 aesthetic. Pricy at $80 but I think quite worth it, as it will also fix any potential GSM antenna issues.

as of late next week it does.

no because i will be using it.

OK I will pay for it, what is your price? In other words what monetary value would you place on it?

Say I am standing next to you with a $1 bill, would you give it to me? No?

Great, so we can now agree that its monetary VALUE is >$1.

How do you know what spot you're at on the waiting list, do you call them abd they just tell you?

Wow this case is so nice, hopefully it will come down in price within a couple of months. Right now I can't justify spending that much on a case.

i just told you im not selling it because im using it. but if i get this case i will just be throwing the bumper away. please stop talking now. thanks.

Me too, but logo can be removed free!

What killed it for me is no back protection. This is just a bumper and not a real case!

It does have back protection.. get the carbon fiber backing also available on the website for it.

Don't be silly, The bumpers aren't valueless. People aren't going to be giving away their colored bumpers on eBay, because they're suddenly *****. When you're purchasing something on sale or things being liquidated, you compare it to their original value to determine how much you're saving when purchasing them. For someone who bought a bumper when they were being sold, it makes sense to say that they are now going to gain $30 (since the purchase of the bumper) of which they may now use on the vapor case. They won't be in any different monetary situation than of the original purchase (assuming the new case is of the same $30 value of the original bumper).

Your video game analogy is broken.

That's good. I assumed you wouldn't be able to because their FAQ page states:

Q:
Can I buy the Vapor with no laser engraved logos?
A:
Not at this time.
