Another EC employee?
You say grow up it's just a case.... an expensive case that people have already thrown their money down on. Money came out fast, information from EC has not. Don't you think it's a good idea for a company, especially one that is charging $80 for a case, to be a little more up front with their paying customer? Don't you think they should be a little more polite when they e-mail a customer? They say they had to re-tool their machines yet received a shipment from their supplier? Not saying they aren't real cases, just saying their customer service is total ***** with an attitude to match.

Have you actually even dealt with EC first hand or is your gripe all based on what you've read? Cuz it sounds you don't know much about anything but rumors. If you're a paying customer then why don't you call them and complain? Fear that your attitude would result in a cancelled order?

Yeah I have. When their Vapor case first came out and there was some discussion on if the buttons are covered or not (none of the pictures on their web pages showed the volume/silent switch side of the case) I sent them an e-mail asking these questions. I got back a snarky, not very professional response from their representative pretty much in the same form as the one posted not to long ago. They, several days later after I sent my email, posted the mock up picture showing the opening for the buttons. He pointed this out to me in a condescending way as if it was there the entire time.
Even though I thought the guy was a douche I was still going to purchase the case after it was delivered to others and they had time to chime in. I however have changed my mind seeing the response others have received and the utter lack of response others have not received. I know their booming company :rolleyes: can stand to lose my $80+ dollars but I simply can't buy from a company that treats their paying customers with such contempt. I really hope they are reading this thread (you know they are you and the other employee that signed up are proof of that ;) ) and I hope they notice their arrogant attitude and total lack of respect for the people that would buy their case is hurting sales of their "product".

ok, so i work in a small machine shop (15 employees including: sales, hr, and production) something this small should not take this long to produce unless they are having some serious issues (signal attenuation, coloring, or overall specifications). i can understand not being able to keep up with production and having delayed shipping schedule, but to not have a single piece out in the world is very worrisome to me.

Well, it's now pretty damn obvious that they've been following this thread. The hand model guy or the troll last night who "didn't have a camera" are just two example. I'm looking forward to see what all the gadget blogs that created the hyped in the beginning will have to say about the case if and when it ever sees the light of day.

No company would be dumb enough to pick those two as ambassadors.

Too many conspiracy theories on this thread. Next someone will claim the bumpers are packed with anthrax.

I really wish the company reps (ones you get when you email EC) weren't such jerks, I love the idea and look of this case. I won't give my money to a company that obviously doesn't like it's customer base.
 
I personally don't care if Ec employes kick puppies and scream at little old ladies. I want a kick ass case, thats it. There is nothing else out there I like. I looked up Vaja and those bamboo ones out there and I think they look like crap. No offence to anyone who likes them. I just prefer metal.

+1 Same here, cannot wait to get mine! Probably the most excited person in this thread to get one to boot. :) I wish they had a optional magnetic flip lid to protect the screen though :(.

No case has been shipped yet. The Hand model guy is holding a black/black vapor4 in his Shrek hand. He works for either Gizmodo or Element Case.

Gizmodo, maybe. Element Case? Never -- they'd never put an awful photograph like that online! Never!

Anyway if it was Gizmodo they probably stole it! ;)

As an aside, my personal goal is to spend two entire days NOT checking this thread!!!!!

I agree. It's like we are all investors in a new start up tech company waiting on their developers to release a promised killer app, instead of consumers purchasing a product. Everyone has purchased, at least so far, someones idea of what a case should be.
 
I have been out of town for a few days, but wanted to check back in and see if anything had changed. Same B.S. and no one has seen a case or real photo yet. This thread should get real entertaining in about a week if the end of July delivery promises are broken or pushed back again. Wonder how many "believers" are still on board?

I believe. I think they were just overwhelmed with orders and people should start receiving them soon. Very soon.

I'm hopin' man. Really been a let down so far. If no-one receives their case by the end of this coming week, Paypal chargeback being issued :cool:
