So who got this one???

Dear Vapor Customer,

Last week we discovered some manufacturing issues with earlier cases that were shipped. We have stopped shipping Vapor cases to remedy the situation but are shipping again.

If you have received one of these early units (prior to this week), you will be receiving an email from us explaining the details.

Before this issue came up, we told you that we hoped to be caught up with all back orders by end of this week. Unfortunately, we are further behind and some orders will not go out until next week. We will be working all weekend to make sure we get as many out on Monday and Tuesday as humanly possible.

We apologize for the delay. We want you to have the best product that we can provide. For questions, please see the FAQs on our website www.ElementCase.com.

Sounds like yet another excuse.

This is what I sent then Jeffs reply
I sent this to them:
Jeff,

Got the group email. And the one after that. Yet both still do not give a date
regarding the ship date for groups 1&2. However it does sound like groups 3&4 will get them before us. Is that right?

Also, it would greatly help if y'all could update the FAQ page... Still shows a ship date of July 12. I'm sure a lot of voice mails and e mails could e avoided by poss. A weekly update on the web site.*

Please advise a guess ship date for groups 1&2*

We are running a bit behind.

Sounds like they are trying anyway possible to push this beyond the 45 day chargeback period for PayPal :eek:

Their quality control must not be very good if they sent out an entire batch of flawed cases :confused:
 
what do rust and vapor have in common?

You don't have to worry about either being on your iphone4 anytime soon. :p
 
Delay due to "retooling" for mass production... then the cases are shipping as of early last week, nobody gets one, or a shipping e-mail... now there are mysterious manufacturing issues and they are recalling the supposed "early units" which nobody ever got anyway.
 
Looks like the FAQ page as a few new Q&A.

I'm giving it till 8 am cst Wed. morning. If no reply by then, I'm bailing and posting with the BBB. ( which has no complaints as of yet with that co.)
 
+1 on the chargeback theory. Some cards have a 30 day limit (after which, you cannot get your $ back) - and if PayPal has 45 days... It really does seem like they're buying time now.
 
I'm in the pre-order line, never got that e-mail.

It does seem like finding them on a more personal level has pushed them to respond (truthfully or not) and maybe make quicker progress.. hopefully this turns out for the better.

Joking aside, I wouldn't cast judgement on them based on one bad run off the "line". I would expect this more with a small company than a larger one but yet it seems to happen on a consistent basis in most industries. It's how a company responds and addresses the situation that REALLY matters. Let's face it, speed bumps happen. That is not an excuse, it's a reality check.

One that I can think of recently is Wrapsol films. They have been plagued with bad films lately (fibers on the sticky side, scratches all over them out of the box, cutouts not lining up, side pieces not properly fitted, micro bubbles) and they keep reissuing people replacement films with the SAME issues and they won't admit the films have problems. Now THAT is bad quality control when your product on a consistent basis has manufacturing problems.

I'm thinking Element might have finally discovered that their product hurts the phones reception (more than they originally though). With a very small team of employees this seems plausible that they may have just figured this out. But of course this is just my speculation at the moment. Now whatever the actual problem is, at least they are doing something about it and trying to remedy this situation. My only wish from Element is that they become a more upfront company. They have been giving the run around for awhile now...

If anyone from Element is reading this I hope you realize being upfront and honest goes a LONG way with your customers. People are much more forgiving when you have a little "Honest Abe" in your blood :cool:
 
Some orders may not go out until next week... But if any have gone out this week at all then why no shipping information or deliveries??? Even if they ship the slowest USPS method someone somewhere in the U.S. would have got one by now.

Exactly what I was thinking...I wonder how they could possibly re-engineer it though...make the aluminum thinner? Add plastic spacers?

I'd like to have Black/Pink, Black/Orange & Black/Green, all very nice looking colors. I've only seen one picture with the Green featured...:)
 
you people are still waiting for this nonexistent case? OMG!

I think we are staying positive and not concentrating on people who didn't buy the case giving their opinion. I am not a fan of the way they have handled customer service but I don't believe at all they are fraudulent. The negativity though is more annoying then anything.
