element bumper "vapor"

Nice to see the Vapor logo is no longer gargantuan as it was in early renders/protos.

Regarding the first sentence, they should not have taken "pre-orders" or accepted money until they were properly sure. Perhaps the manufacturing process has resulted in an imperfect fit or rough edges, whatever. This is simply speculation.

Clearly I am a descendant of Nostradamus :) :)

In any event, despite the beauty of the case, with this whole screw-up I am now convinced - 100% - that this case is going to be deleterious to one's reception. That was my feeling a few weeks ago when I first started posting in this thread and this snafu convinces me of that.

However, they should do fine with Apple fanboys who prize form over function.

Just noticed this on the FAQ section, for those that think the delays are reception based, It may have been there earlier though not sure.

"Q:Will the Vapor case improve my signal?

A:It may or it may not. We don't make claims that it does."

lol what exactly does this mean? We can request no logo at a later date? or we can request no logo as soon as they ask those on the preoder who didn;t pay for their money?
 
Still in Pre-Order Status...

I registered with ElementCase.com to pre-order the Vapor 4 on July 23rd. I've yet to receive a second email with instructions to place and finalize the order. Anyone here in the same boat? :rolleyes:
 
Reception issues

What is with all the ridiculous assertions related to reception issues. Have none of you sat in an airplane and texted someone in the runway? Is an airplane not a gigantic metal box? WTF! Personally I think people are trying to scare our less assured commrads into cancelling their orders so they can jump the que. Of course, it's likely that I'm just responding in a obsessively ridiculous manner to insufficient stimuli. Oh and I'm an apple fan boy. And I work for element. And I drink 6-8 liters of cool aid a day.

P.s. My farmer is late and I need sheering. Bahhhhh!

The back panel glass is actually a thin appliqué over a metal plate, as is the front save for the screen area. The glass is not part of the phone structure merely cosmetic and for the touch screen. I was merely pointing out the error in your analogy and logic rather than passing judgment on the case design itself.
 
Sorry if this has already been discussed in the many pages in this thread, but is the 'carbon fiber back' they refer to an actual full back replacement or some lame overlay (shield or sticker) for lack of a better description.

I didn't see any information on there site explaining it.

Its a sticker basically, it adheres but can be removed

It was addressed earlier in this thread and it was found to be an overlay with a sticky back that does not leave a residue behind if its removed.
