Holy Crap - I JUST Received my case today - and I even have pictures (NOT Renders) to prove it!

It's heavier than I expected, it does not affect signal at all, and has not scratched my iPhone during assembly. If you look closely along the side, you can see the hi-tech polymer films.

I'm sorry about the pictures, I don't know how to upload things, I didn't have a DSLR sitting 1 foot away, and the IP4 was in the case - so I used my original iPhone to snap the photos.

I'm so glad I ordered the black! But yours still looks okay.

does anybody here twitter? I am pushing to be the last one on earth that has never even been to the websie...

reason i ask is the main page says "follow the live updates on twitter" so have they been tweeting? if so what are they saying???

You can see their twitter here --

No updates since July 8th when they were pushing these Vapor cases...

Ok, just so I follow your line of thinking here. You are saying an employee of Element Case, created a render of the case, then photoshopped it into a picture of himself standing in a machine shop? Instead of a picture in an office or outside or any other place in the world that does not cause suspicion?
^^Another Element Case employee planted in this thread to spread dis-information.

You got to wake up pret-ty early in the morning to get one up on these folks. :D

Whell if people don't start receiving these in a few weeks a lot of people will cancel since it will be close to the PayPal 45 day chargeback deadline.

okay, seriously...I'm now on the fence about cancelling this thing...I wanna waste my money somewhere else on something equally as cool (I dont know what that could possibly be at this point now).

Dear element case,

please ship one...ONE to a popular gadget/mobile phone blog to review at the very least, that is all I ask of you. We as your customers need some kind of assurance that you can produce this case and are producing them. A "sneak peek" blog review would do wonders and I know you have had to at least make one damn case already...do it, do it now...for my sanity and my money you have.

Baby jesus thanks you.

Still no status update for anyone? I might be getting a bit suspect of them. Hopefully theres a shipping update by the end of the week. My silver/black was promised a beginning of August ship date.

You would think that by now this would have already happened.

iSkin told me they are shipping their revo4 and Solo cases this week. They should update their blog and site the day before ordering begins they say, either today or tomorrow. A good alternative if these Vapors fall through.

Vapor hasn't updated their twitter? Weird.

They must be too busy shipping all those cases....err, wait they haven't any apparently.

Yeah nothing there or on their Facebook either... And Jeff Sasaki the owner of Element Case actually deleted himself from their Facebook page on Sunday.

Well, Their site says they would be busy all weekend so they could ship them out on monday and tuesday so if none of us get a shipping notification than it will be clear that they are still unable to produce a finished case.

Does anyone know what day they started taking orders? I did my pre order on July 01 and paid for my order on July 03.

I do have one serious question for those in this thread that have actually ordered AND paid for their Vapor (myself included). With the Paypal 45 day limit (from time of payment) to file a dispute for a refund approaching for some of us (my account was charged on July 3rd), are any of you going to request a refund if the case hasn't shipped by that deadline? Paypal basically says that you are SOL after 45 days in getting the refund if you haven't requested it by then. Are any of you going to dispute the charges by then (for me it'll be two weeks from today) if you haven't received it, or just lose out on that and go on good faith that Element will eventually ship?

I would hang in there until day 40. we have waited this long. Then just do a return on their web page if nothing has happened. All reports say they have been very good and fast about returning peoples money.

If we don't file the charge back from Paypal or CC 45 days/vary from different bank but most are 60 days, then Paypal and CC can "TRY" to get the money back but they can't guarantee and you shouldn't count on it. If we want the money back for sure then we need to open the dispute case within those period.

If anyone pay beginning of July which most of us did, then on or before 8/15 we MUST open the dispute with Paypal or CC bank.

I've been optimistic so far, but I'm really thinking that they may not ship by then. I think that they just advertised based on quick renders, without even putting any research into the actual production time/method of the units and got way in over their heads with the number of orders they received. With their past products, they've always gotten units to some review sites first to get the word out of their products, and it seems that not a one of them have gotten squat yet. I wonder if they even have an actual unit made now. And why is the owner completely deleting his entire Facebook page? Yeah, he may want to avoid all the harassing customers contacting him, but I'm sure he used that page for other communications as well. Just seems a little unusual to me. And according to my original order email, they would take payment immediately (my payment date was July 3rd), even for orders that wouldn't ship until the then stated "late August". That would automatically put those buyers outside the dispute window with Paypal, even if delivered on time in "late August". Why take payment that early? Most companies don't charge you until the item is actually ready to ship. Did they need the funds to finance the production? I just wish the company was more freaking transparent with customers. This hiding crap is ridiculous.

You spell out exactly what I feel. Thank you.

Also, as they mentioned they are small shop and I bet they might need some of our money to fund the materials/machining/parts... for this project. I've no problem with that BUT at the minimum, we should have some sort of open/honest update communications with us while we wait, right? But all we got is some new member came out and said "I got the case today" It is not open not to mention it is honest or not, agree?

Great news. Jeff called. He says the second batch will be dispatched when this thread reaches 4000 replies. First batch was dispatched weeks ago, of course!

True story.
