Why not try the Vapor Pro knockoffs from AliExpress instead, then you wont have to worry about reception issues. And a respected user has posted that the Vapor Pro knockoffs dont affect GPS either (unlike the OEM ones). ;)

Unless of course, you absolutely love that Vapor 4 shape, like me :p

Thank You so much. I will buy it there :D

Black Ops

My new Element Case Vapor Pro Black Ops arrived today! Very exciting ...

Here's a few pics. I'm not entirely sure if I'll keep using the red back, or if I'll switch it back to black. Decisions, decisions. :p

Nice--but I would probably cover the red. Kind of kills the stealth feel of the BlackOps. Just a thought--try that fuzzy back that comes with. I was going to toss mine but decided just to try it. Haven't taken if off yet!

I agree with you. The more I look at the red, the more I think it ruins the aesthetic of the black stealthiness. I'll try the suede back!

Black Ops case looks sick.

I don't know how anyone could buy one of these cases after reading the reviews. They look great but clearly degrade signal levels. My GPS was non-existent and cell coverage degraded far more than it should.

You have a suede back and you put this ugly red with black ops case? ouuchh
The suede back looks stuning with black ops ...black ops is no.1 vapor pro for me

are you serious, but sorry to hear that it happened to you, it does not happen to me or most to the vapor pro owners here

customize spectra pro

anyone knows if elementcase has plans to make the spectra pro customizable in the near future?

And you apparently missed the title of this thread....

Here it is, just for you:

;)

So you haven't been following the thread and are now talking about a case that we don't care about anymore? Yeah ok. Good job posting that video a year late.

What do you want, a cookie?

You may not care about it (you really shouldn't try to be the spokesperson for the whole forum), but I was simply posting an article about an Element Vapor case in a thread called "Element Vapor Case".

Apology accepted. ;)

What apology? lol Actually, you're welcome - I just updated you on what this thread was really about.

It's cool to see people not pay attention or read anything and then jumping in to make an idiot of themselves talking about nothing related to the current discussion. Congrats - you've outdone yourself ;)

just because everyone is talking about the new pro version does not mean no one is allowed to talk about the previous version.
not everyone has upgraded to the pro version, so aren't they not allowed to talk about the previous version they has?
and to pick a fight over such a minor thing is ridiculous.

sharing is caring.
Azzin is kind enough to share a video on the reception issue vapor case has.
this may actually help for people who plan to buy an element case for the first time yet can't decide between getting vapor or the vapor pro.
and not everyone has the time to browse through the entire 139 pages of this thread and then go "oh, so vapor case has the reception issue". =/

so guys, make love not war.
peace :apple:

Why not try the Vapor Pro knockoffs from AliExpress...

sad that companies like AliExpress leach off companies such as Element Case for a living

you people ever stop and think that all the business that is stolen from Element Case can put a company out of business? this same argument falls along the line of Mom & Pop businesses v. Walmart.

if you folks love/respect the products that Element Case produces so much and would like to see more of their work, why would you then support a company such as AliExpress???

i'd like to see a reply to this besides $

Dear friend,

Aliexpress is not a company to start with. It is more like a wholesale ebay. Everything you see is sold and shipped by independent dealers, each with their own merchandise and pricing. Do some research before spreading stupid ideas.

Knock-off and fake items have never put any company to difficult situations in the iPhone industry, because their profits margin are huge. You'd be surprised of the manufacturing cost of these expensive cases.

We do respect original products, but many times we spend lots of money just to realize the product does not work as expected, and the only way to get rid of it is reselling it at a low price. Nobody likes to lose.

Like it or not, this is how business works. you are free to not be part of it.

So its okay to pay 140$-150$ for a case where the GPS signal gets killed ? Why should Element be rewarded for making substandard products ? Isnt it capitalism, when some potential customers reject problematic cases and try out similar designs at 1/4th the price with the possibility that the knockoff actually performs better ? Have you read the post where one reviewer said that the knockoff actually has no affect on GPS signal while the OEM Vapor Pro does ?

Even if the knockoff performs just as well as the OEM Element Vapor Pro, why should I pay 4 times the price for a sub-standard product and deal with shoddy customer service to boot ?
You want to do it, please go ahead.....but dont try and sell me a substandard case at $140 on emotional/moral grounds. When it comes to money matters, I take my emotions out of the equation...... some folks I respect seem to have lived happier and healthier (and probably longer) lives due to this.

My main problem with Element's Vapor Pro is that they still dont perform as well as a naked iPhone (GPS signal, and I use GPS regularly). And then to charge 140-150$ for something that obviously cost them less than 30$ to make.......that and how my buddy was treated when he wanted to return his case after having issues with signal deterioration, makes me want to stay far away from the company.

I do own a couple of Vapor 4 cases, and am happy with them despite the signal issues. But Im tired of supporting crappy designs and shoddy customer service. I have no intentions of throwing my $140 away on another case that has signal issues.

I love my Atomic Hybrid cases too and they have no signal issues whatsoever unlike the Vapor 4. And the design on the new Diamondback is gorgeous IMHO, but again, im not spending 200$ (even if i get the 25% off coupon supposedly floating around) on a case.

What if I wanted to keep my options open about upgrading to the iPhone 5/4S coming up ? Do you think its advisable to spend 140-200$ on a case ?

One size doesnt fit all.

sorry, i apologize for not digging deep enough to know what Aliexpress is. i can admit when i'm being ignorant or wrong.

that's just saying its ok to buy Nike's and Coach purses out of someone's trunk, or a bootleg movie from some random stranger at a gas station, or Walmart killing of all the local shops, or USA and the Banana Republic. im off on a tangent.. anyways... to each their own.

We do respect original products, but many times we spend lots of money just to realize the product does not work as expected, and the only way to get rid of it is reselling it at a low price. Nobody likes to lose.

that's why you never buy the first gen of anything....

true

you got to do what you got to do to keep up with the Joneses

cute

Why should Element be rewarded for making substandard products ?

substandard product? it takes $ for RND (Research and Development). ever heard of http://www.kickstarter.com/ or http://www.ckie.com/ ? its a funding site for up and coming hopeful designers to come up with the next great product. im sure that Element Case has some grass root past like these folks do on those sites.

Isnt it capitalism, when some potential customers reject problematic cases and try out similar designs at 1/4th the price with the possibility that the knockoff actually performs better ?

capitalism?!? Element Case didn't just created a trend, but they created a whole new industry in cell phone cases. they may not had been the first but they are the one's that got all those folks in those sweat shops jobs by producing knock offs and having copy cats follow suit.

Have you read the post where one reviewer said that the knockoff actually has no affect on GPS signal while the OEM Vapor Pro does ?

yes. have you read what another user said about being thorough with those test?

money trumps all. money is king. im not going to argue this but quote myself with:

i say it's either AT&T or Verizon, i had both and they have intermittent issues. as for element case... ive read the horror stories. something you have to deal w/ when dealing w/ a small company. they aint like Dell or Best Buy or Cosco or even Macy's. however i thought i saw somewhere that they have an upgrade program. smh... may be true or not but if it is at least they are trying to work with you to make you happy...? or make more $...?

I do own a couple of Vapor 4 cases, and am happy with them despite the signal issues. But Im tired of supporting crappy designs and shoddy customer service. I have no intentions of throwing my $140 away on another case that has signal issues.

you've been burned and cant blame you for that, lesson learned. but i dont think that their design is crappy. their design is clean and simple. whether the product truly inhibits the phone purpose or not is a different story. wished that they made cases for other phone manufactures.

I love my Atomic Hybrid cases too and they have no signal issues whatsoever unlike the Vapor 4. And the design on the new Diamondback is gorgeous IMHO, but again, im not spending 200$ (even if i get the 25% off coupon supposedly floating around) on a case.

do you think it was advisable the first time you purchased the case? and the next? and the next?

to answer your question, if you got the money to blow, go buy it. if you don't, go buy it. you got to do what you got to do to keep up with the Joneses.

Don't be so ignorant.

This thread is crawled and indexed by Google and people searching for "Element Vapor Case" will be drawn here and that can only be a good thing for the site.

If you're so keen to just discuss the Pro case, why don't you go and start a thread about it?

Apologies to everyone else for dragging the thread O/T.
