I have had nothing but bad luck with this case. Every time I put it on my phone I get terrible signal loss.
Which generation and type of Element case do you have? Vapor Comp or Pro? Are you using a backplate? I thought the newer ones that Element is selling now did not effect signal at all.
I am currently using the vapor pro white limited edition. My signal drops significantly with it on. It is hard to miss considering that at home I get 5 bars and when I put it on I get 2 bars. However, I love the way the case looks and I can live with the signal loss.
Are you using the carbon fiber back plate and are you on the 4 or 4s? I'm on the 4s with no plate and I don't have the significant signal drop with the vapor pro white case.
I just have the SGP ultra crystal front and back protector. You are right their customer service is great they did offer me a replacement case but I really didn't want to send my case back and wait for a replacement when the issue isn't really causing anything other than a visual loss of signal.
Hey guys, I'm going to take the plunge and get the EC Vapor Comp Stealth black although I really like how it looks with the black suede although I was wondering for those that have had the shade for a while. Does it pick up lint easily and does it worth buying or will it just turn horrible after a month or so. Thanks.
Element Case and 4S

I was wondering if anyone has an Element Vapor Pro and an iPhone 4S? I have a Vapor Pro Stealth on an iPhone 4, and whilst I have no appreciable GSM/UMTS signal loss, my GPS goes completely screwy with the case on. This is despite Element going on about the integrated RF bridge preventing such problems in their Pro line. From what I hear, the Vapor Comp model has no such issues, due to one side being polycarbonate.
Now, given that the 4S is supposed to move the GPS antenna to the back of the handset, and also employ antenna diversity throughout the rim, I am guessing that all-aluminium cases such as the Vapor Pro should not adversely effect the GPS function of a 4S in the way they do in the 4??
Can anyone who is using a Vapor Pro (not Comp) and a 4S (not 4) together please either confirm or refute whether this hypothesis holds true in real life??

I have the 4S with the white Vapor Pro and I have no issues with the GPS.
Here's my setup! It is the Vapor Pro R8. Very happy to say no signal issues at all. Also I dropped it a few times, but once very hard on the bus and Wow the sound it made... Picked it up and not one scratch

Could you please download an app "GPS Status" (free) here and post a screenshot?
I recieved my vapor pro stealth today. I m not sure of the fit. On the volume side I can see the metal band of the iphone. On the oposite side it is up againest the glass really tight. I tried to take a photo but it was a no go I'll try again in the morning.

1. Ive never seen these before, do they come with back plate? or sueade? whats the difference, does it stick to the back glass? because i wouldnt want glue residue on the glass.

In iPhone 4 when I had the very first vapor 4 ar15-v (or something like this) it took one network bar away, but at least I could hold the phone in any way I wanted. Unfortunately it killed my GPS signal entirely.
and this right here is why I won't spend $150 of my hard earned money on a case. I am sure you're not the only one, Bill.
