Don't get excited man . It seems you live in the dreaded Vapor Triangle. Every attempt Element makes to send you a case ends up in a mysterious disappearance . They are still debating whether this is a magnetic disturbance or alien intervention. There is some speculation that ET is rocking your Vapor

I 'm testing the google map with the 2 Iphones I have. One with the bumber the with the vapor. Both shows my location as the house behind me. So , so far I don't see any difference.
This guy came out of the blue, his 1st post on this thread. With a quick lOOk it doesn't seem that he's got much positive to say about anything. Your case is sick, what haters say makes NO differences

I have waiting for the order email from vapor since August 16th
I registered to pre order back in July and never heard a damn thing from them!!!!!!

I pre-ordered 2 weeks before you and I still haven't heard anything either so I wouldn't hold your breath.
I guess I shoulda ordered an Extreme Metals version. Those people were obviously put in front of the other customers who were already waiting.
Leave it, man. They're not going to listen to the facts. It was pointed out somewhere in the first ten or so pages of this thread that the physics of wrapping a chunk of radio-opaque material around an antenna would only result in massive signal attenuation, but they had to buy it because it was so shiny and expensive.
Now they're in an $80 hole of their own digging but they can't put down the shovel and just climb out looking slightly foolish. No, they'll just keep on digging, denying the reality of the physics of the situation and the experimental evidence until they've proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they're nothing but gullible morons.
If you want proof, just wait for some of the responses to this post. They'll be hilarious, I'm sure.

I have been following this thread almost since it started, and I followed the previous one that got ended after so many posts. The trend i keep seeing is, 10 or so intelligent posts talking about the case, then 5 or so posts saying that if you like this case "your stupid" and things to that nature. I get open discussion, I do. But telling people that they are dumb because they like, ordered, and pay $100 for this case. Or feeling like you are so important that you need to show everyone, with scientific testing, that they have or are wasting their money and are less intelligent than yourself for doing so. I am pretty sure that no one has posted that this case will improve your reception, or that their phone processing speed increased. So your only argument is that, "I wont buy this case, so that makes it dumb, and that makes anyone who would or has bought it dumb as well."
As I has thought this through and typed it, I realized something. Those of us who have ordered this case, myself included, have decided that we like this case. So what ever happened in your childhood to convince you that your opinion is the only right thought on a subject, and you must ram it down the throats of anyone not in agreement with you.
To you people I have one thing to say. "you can take your over inflated sense of self worth and shove it up your @$$" Everyone that likes this case has their own opinions and we have already taken into account the effect that this case can and does have on our phones. If you want to tell people what you think, go out to your local Apple Store and tell everyone that walks through the door and tell them not to buy an Apple product because they cost too much and owning it wont make you instantly smarter. See how well that works.
Sorry for the rant, but I cant stand narrow minded people. Im not ignorant and I can make my own decisions based on available information.

in my opignon the mayority of the negative posts just want to WARN people to buy a case that has a very negative effect on your phone ...
and they want to WARN people to order it and say "well i´ll just send it back then" ... because elementcase customer service seems to be very bad too.

The finish is not so close to the metal of the phone ,it's a total different finish and the color is a little darker.
I register to preorder on July 13 and got the email to order on Sept 3rd.
To the posters that keep calling us morons and stated that we lose 99% of the reception. Did you actually have the case on your phone to test it out . I bet you guys don't. Like I said before, when I went through this thread I knew that a lot of people have problems with the reception.I also watch some youtube reviews and test of this case and the result wasn't good, but I took the chance and order one anyway because I love the looks of this case. As it turns out,maybe I am lucky or what but so far I have no problem at all. I have a big family and all of us have Iphones. I observed the reception with my case and the others ,it's exactly the same even the gps is the same. But no matter what I said you guys wouldn't still believe it ,so be it. Have fun calling people names guys....I still love my vapor case!

I'm sorry your poor and can't afford one. Maybe someday you will figure it out and be able to buy nice things.
This post isn't just about this case or that case. It's about talking to people with the same interest and hearing what they have to say and in turn they put up with my mad rantings. Few have been as hard on Element and their case as I have. I've been taking shots at them every chance I got. Doesn't change the fact that for two days I had the Vapor on my Iphone 4 and didn't loose bars, had no dropped calls or experience any bluetooth or wireless issues. Gps on start up would sometimes throw me a mile away, then after 20 secs come back to my current location. If you live in a place with 1 bar of signal then I wouldn't suggest buying the Vapor. If you have never owned the Element case than you might want to hold off on speculation. Just like here everything you see and read about it is 2nd hand information. Everyone here is aware that this is a beauty contest. The amount of protection that something like this could offer is minimal at best. The reception issues or lack of will depend on how good or bad your service provider is.

The case is attractive, I'll give you that. And, you did some research. Kudos for that. Then, you ignored other people's experience because you really liked the looks and bought an overpriced decoration anyway. Why did you bother with the research? But,that is your privilege. However, beyond the antenna enhancement "feature", the case seems like a dumb design. It's a pain to put on or take off with pieces held together by tiny little screws that require the use of a special tool. Something else to carry around or lose. And it looks a bit bulky which defeats the whole minimalist industrial design that Apple lavished on the iPhone4. Personally, I want a case that isn't bulky but provides some protection. But, I want the case to come off quickly If I want minimal bulk when I'm out to dinner and carrying the phone in a pocket or when I want to pop the phone into an armband for a run or a workout at the gym. For me, the Incipio NGP ($20 @ Walmart) is perfect. The Vapor is just dumb.
It seems like it's a good thing that Element Case is still backlogged with orders. I pre-registered on July 20 something and have yet to hear anything from EC and i am thankful for the all the reviews, both good and bad. I still love the look of the case and it's still one of, or the most beautiful case out there. It's going to be bitter sweet if/when I get the chance to order and press the DELETE button!
