This is totally false. An Apple car will most likely make Tesla more money.

Completely agree.. VW and traditional car makers would be in trouble. Those already in the electricity game would do well.. I could even see Apple using Tesla gigafactory for batteries.. just like Apple buys parts from Samsung

I do know who he is and what he does, and I never implied that his company is not capable of great things. I just stated that he is either scared or jealous (or both) of Apple and what they are capable of, otherwise he wouldn't have made those comments and backtrack the following day.
I believe his former comment on their former employees jumping the ship mean something else: he isn't worried at all about them, those people will not really make any difference at Apple or pose a real threat to Tesla's projects. Real passionate employees don't leave only on the basis of money.
It would be interesting to know more about the salary and benefit packages differences between the two companies.

You hit the nail on the head, people with sense. But this is MR.............

Translation: "Oops, I inadvertently alienated a core demographic..."
Bingo. I think that's the ONLY possible reason an ego like that would try to eat its words.

Edit: Eat is a little strong, alter is more accurate here. Haha the irony....I'm correcting myself.

C’mon Elon! We all love you very much, but only kids get into these fights. First Bill and then Steve – at a certain point of their amazing journeys – they both learned to stay away from sterile disputes. It will happen to you as well before SpaceX gets to Mars!

so Musk's having fun with Apple, then later apologies, but goes on the gravy-train again with the other Apple products ?

What happens after that ? "Their are no more products i can make fun of"

Start going after Samsung? Good for the media though. We're all constantly scratching our heads in vein wondering what he's gonna come out with next.

I'm sorry, but he was never wrong. Releasing a car with bugs like the 6s, could actually hurt people. Shutting off randomly, not responding for a couple seconds...
You act like, Apple can never do wrong! Look, I love Apple as much as the next one, but musk really just told the truth: Apple can't release a car with the same attitude, as they release their other products these days.
A car has to be perfect, otherwise people can get hurt!

He and I share the same opinion about the watch. That said, I could say the same about the new SUV he just launched. It's at least $50k too expensive and has too many wing shaped doors.

Don't know if it's been said, but Mr. Musk's comments about Apple being the graveyard for former Tesla employees could be construed as a bit much.

Some things are better left unsaid, however much we may wish to open our big mouths.

Yes, this is MR, where people whine about every single thing that Apple does and kiss the feet of people like Elon Musk simply for making snarky comments about Apple.

Don't get me wrong, Elon Musk is a great person, and his company has done so much to push electric cars forward. But the idol worship would be better served for a Tesla forum.

Something as complicated as a computer in your pocket WILL have bugs. End of story. I don't care who makes it or how long it's tested, IT WILL HAVE BUGS. People need to get over that.
