Balenciaga on the app store. No threat to take it off.
TikTok on the app store. No threat to take it off.

Twitter. Well, you know, can't have FREE SPEECH now, can we? Or is it misinformation? Or censorship? Yes, censorship.

Twitter's sin is that it is owned by a man who said he would vote for someone other than a democrat. That isn't allowed! The people that claim to love democracy actually hate it.

So "Apple was just following orders" is an acceptable response to you?
If we're going to criticize Apple for following China's laws for the sake of doing business there, then hey I'm game. But let's make sure we're looking at all parties involved in such things.

Why is Musk operating in China?? Their government doesn't even allow Twitter.

How do we know what is at risk of being banned, as Apple doesn't talk about private matters like this one...

They believe the word of their God, Elon Musk. He cannot lie, so if he says Apple threatened to remove Twitter, it must be so.

Doesn't matter that there's nothing that indicates that, Apple hasn't said a word (Google didn't either), and the only source we have is Musk himself. It's one of the facts I asked ProfessionalFan to provide, but they ignore any request to back up their ramblings.

  1. I don't know that Apple cares about their Twitter accounts. That's the whole point of Elon throwing a tantrum, remember?
  2. Nothing on Twitter or in the App Store is "legally protected free speech". They're private platforms. The only thing your free speech is legally protected from in the US is the government interfering. Private companies and platforms have no legal obligation to grant you freedom of speech.
What exactly do you think this comment means? Some form or another of this drivel is regurgitated over and over as if it means something. So what if there is no legal obligation? That is not the final measure of anything. Free speech is a universal concept that drove the inclusion of it in the founding if this country. It doesn't merely manifest out of a document. It is something decent people believe in. If you actively work against free speech in some way, you deserve whatever flak you get.

I mean, if musk is all for free speech wonder why he hasn't reinstated alex jones... hmmm

For that matter, I wonder why all of you that cry about free speech aren't out there defending jones. I mean, he is on the hook for over 1 billion dollars because of his use of 'free speech'. Please explain it to me like I'm 5.

The people that claim to love democracy actually hate it.

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

― Isaac Asimov

🤷🏻‍♀️

But hey, keep those buzzwords coming. You're doing good. Thanks for proofing my point, I guess.

You can speak all you want. You don't get to use my resources to do so. Free speech is not an absolute, neither in law nor in philosophical concept.

I don't have to agree with it to say yes of course it should be allowed. Doesn't bother me in the least. And by allowing it, it will ensure that other more important speech is not also silenced under the guise of protection from "hate" speech. I despise that term, frankly. It is just another buzz word used to silence and stifle.

Can't forget this doozy. Nick Fuentes is everything the far right accuses the left of being and then some.

“You gotta recognize the fact that this is a godless country. I hate it. It’s immoral. It’s wrong. It’s heinous. It’s evil. But this is an evil country, and this country will surprise you with how evil it is. And that’s why you’ve got to get this out of your head that there is some silent majority cavalry that’s going to come out of the woods and save us at the last minute. It’s not. We are in the minority. There are not as many of us as there are of them. If they all had to vote, if you forced every man and woman in America to vote, there would be more of them than us by a lot. That’s why they win the popular vote. That’s why they win the House. That’s why it is the way it is. And I hate to burst anybody’s bubble, but there is simply no evidence that there is a silent majority. There is no evidence of this. There are too many non-white people in the country, frankly, for that to be the case. When you look at these things like abortion, it’s popular. And you can thank the Jewish media for that. Abortion is popular, sodomy is popular, being gay is popular, being a feminist is popular, sex out of wedlock is popular, contraceptives—it’s all popular. That’s not to say it’s good. That’s not to say I like that. Popular means that people support it, which they do. It sucks, and it is what it is, but that’s why we need a dictatorship. That’s unironically why we need to get rid of all that. We need to take control of the media or take control of the government and force the people to believe what we believe or force them to play by our rules and reshape the society.”

At the very least it was whining and complaining about the way others choose to make use of their speech.

Yeah, sorry that wasn't it... Free speech the hell out of it, I don't care, was merely pointing out what happens. You sound like a typical user of Reddit. I am surprised you haven't tried to give me the downvote. I mean, god forbid someone points out how stuff is done.

Observation and whining are not mutually exclusive. It can be both.

I don't have to agree with it to say yes of course it should be allowed.

Well, of course it doesn't bother you, because it [the hate speech] doesn't affect you.

It also isn't a buzzword, but a clearly defined, legal, term.

Well it is allowed under the first amendment, but people here don't understand what that really means. Does it mean that twitter should allow it? Isn't that up to them? I mean, I wouldn't want to amplify that trash if it were up to me and it were my company. I'm betting companies like apple and the like don't want to be associated with that garbage either. Yet here we are arguing over 'free speech' when it matters not when it comes to platforms like twitter. They get to decide what is allowed and the simple fact is that musk is bring back actual nazis so they can post hate. Advertisers will go elsewhere.

I guess while Americans tear each other apart over left vs right and other nonsensical BS, the billionaries stealing their country under them don't have to worry about Americans realising that on the top ten countries for quality of life the US isn't even close to making the list. One of many lists the US doesn't appear on anymore, but hey as long as you stay angry, you also stay ignorant.

Sure... what ever you say. I mean, looking back at my post, I probably used the words such as "unfair" or better yet, "I don't like that and they shouldn't do that as it hurts my feelings".
Some of us are capable of using context clues. How about calling it a crap show and falsely claiming that your comments will get removed regardless of what subreddit you're in? Go post that there are only two genders in r/conservative and be rewarded with many upvotes.

Saw this online
According to internal documents seen by the Washington Post
In the first quarter, Apple was the top advertiser on Twitter, spending $48 million on ads on the social network, according to a document reviewed by The Washington Post that was compiled from internal Twitter data. Apple’s spending accounted for more than 4 percent of Twitter’s revenue that quarter.

Obliviously you miss read the "your" statement, "your" was in reference to anyone posting, not mine in particular. And if you post the opposite in the r/conservative section you will be downvoted and most like removed. Hence, the comment "regardless of what subreddit you are in".

Maybe don't take is so personnel when someone calls one of your favorite social media platforms a crap show. As it is a crap show.
