Yeah you do. It's part of life and being an adult. That's why society is in the situation it is. You can disagree with an opinion and still respect it.Don’t have to respect an opinion, just the right to have and voice one

Twitter sucks. I think people who use it honestly are dumb but each their ownYikes. I hope he doesn't run Twitter into the ground.
A lot of users there are a bit braindead and think emotionally only. There were many arguments in Twitter regarding BTS serving military time in Korea, and I was attacked many times for simply saying that they didn’t meet any laws for military exemption. In other words logic doesn’t really work with themTwitter sucks. I think people who use it honestly are dumb but each their own
Can you define “woke ideology” please?
What does it entail?
I recall a simpler time when I visited MacRumors to read news about Apple. Today, it seems more like Slashdot.
So those who applaud this move are racists, sexists? Oh the irony…that thinking is exactly why some of us applaud this move.No it's fine. It just shows what a mess the human race is.
In this thread we have people crowing for free speech not to help and assist and improve society but allow prejudice through racism and sexism to prevail. And they are celebrating the platform being open so they are now no longer marginalised for their backwards views. Well got some news here: life isn't going to get easier. You are being marginalised because you are promoting regressive thinking which is not welcome. And the opposition will get louder and louder.
That billion dollar figure is back from when the Fed rate was 0.25….
You mean the way it’s been weaponzied as a PR machine for folks with questionable agendas…?? What social media platform doesn’t have that chance. Look at what Mark Zuckerberg admitted FB was doing during the last election.Too few realize the long-term consequences of this acquisition. It has a chance of going under but a much higher chance of becoming a weaponized pr machine for folks with questionable agendas. And yes, the latter is the only way to justify its price.
Edit: removed the speculation of Elon running for the President... Duh
Second amendment is about guns. Free speech is the first amendment.
And it’s established US law that hate speech is fully protected by the first amendment.
What got Parler in trouble was not moderating out users who were using the platform to coordinate and plan crimes like the Jan 6 riot. It seems like Elon is going to moderate to some extent but we will not know what the moderation will look like under Elon Muck for a couple of years while he implements changes within the company. It really shocked me how the big companies did everything to ban Trump. When Trump was banned by Twitter, people said that it he free to go somewhere else. So he went to Parler - or at least copies of his tweets went there - but as a result Parler was banned from the App Store, from the Google Play Store and Amazon Web Services, who hosted Parler so far, shut down the website from one day to the next. Sometimes even credit card companies or other payments services like Paypal just stop processing payments to certain platforms. Then those platforms are basically sanctioned like Iran or Russia, but by private companies. That is why it is important to restrict their power.
It’s just like Reddit, primarily an echo chamber for far left imo. I posted real truths etc, instant perma ban, yet those cesspool groups talking how to defraud the government to get unemployment antiwork etc alive and well.A lot of users there are a bit braindead and think emotionally only.
